** MAYHEMS AURORA - Pearlescent Watercooling Fluids **

the watercooling part is easy ...

the putting up with my mates saying " OH EMM GEE ! ... you put water in with electricity .. you must be crazy!"

is getting old :)

Although ... they have stopped pestering me to fix their machines ... whenever I get asked .. I just grab my tool kit and some tubes and they change their mind rapid !!

Like it - LMFAO;);)

Wow this stuff looks amazing. I'm seriously tempted to order some of this stuff, I'm a sucker for swirly things in my loop. I have my reservations though, how much testing has gone into this stuff? I'm concerned about the fluid components separating and gunking up my internals...

it's mayhems - it will be fine :D

lol. About 2 years of testing has gone into its development how ever its not for normal daily use. its really for show builds and modding. Im sure how ever many buying this will still use it in there normal build hence we have a wiki to help understand what you can use and what you cannot.

Why is it not for normal daily use? Surely that's implying that it's not going to last 6 months or so that you'd expect normal coloured/UV dyed water to last.

I've used a lot of a UV fluid in the past, it's never stained my blocks but I've replaced my stained tygon every time I've done a change after 3-6 months so I'm not bothered about that.

As I said, I'd be seriously interested as this stuff really does look amazing but it would be for daily, probably for 6 months use.

The usable life of the product is a key bit of information missing from the OCUK product description, if it is as you say a case of buyer beware if they want to use it in normal daily builds. Does anyone here actually rig up a water cooling PC for short term exhibition or "modding"?

I was wondering the same thing? Mine's always on long term exhibition in my bedroom. These days water-cooling isn't really that functional, I'd say most people do it for the fun of it and the looks. I'm concerned a lot of people would buy this product to find it ruins some of their expensive blocks/pumps/radiators and even some would get upset by stained tubing... I'd like to hear from the manufacturer exactly why they say it's not for day to day use.

On relfection I think mlwood is probably defining normal daily use as those who do water cooling for performance, rather than bling, so it is possibly a misunderstanding of what "daily use" means. I imagine the life is still of the order of 6 months.

We do not recommend you use the liquids longer than 6 months.

It will not impact on any of you hardware if there is no problem. I have been testing on nickel plated products with no problems what so ever . How ever if there is some sort of defect there all ready on the hardware this liquid will not help in anyway.

The liquid viscosity will not effect pumps or ware down your pumps any quicker than normal use as we have kept the viscosity low. We could have increased this but it would have meant that it would have put extra pressure on your hardware.

The more hardware you have in the loop will all so effect the life of the liquid. So say its just running on a normal single CPU or single GPU loop six months is the recommended running time. If running on a Complete loop were there is CPU and GPU this life of the liquid goes down a little and if running on CPU, GPU, GPU again it will go down more.

This is because there is some slight protection on the Pearl and this wares off as it is used over time. The reason why we say for show's and modding is just that reason. This liquid was developed to show case hardware and total bling factor.

This is the first ever liquid created for this purpose.

Damn I was fearing this.
Blasted GTX 470 EK block has had the nickel defect problem:(
So I guess running pearlescent particles over it won't do it any favours...

Can you expand on the 'not for everyday use' part? It doesn't make much sense...

Still I think i'll get some:)
Just can't decide for my build nebula blue or purple galaxy...
I'll try blue first then galaxy in 6 months:D
