I've won my last two games 11-0 and 9-0. Quarter and semi of the online Advanced Cup, the last guy was about 5-0 down at half time. 
Just bought IF Marchisio and IF Pirlo and they hold the midfield so well. Pirlo stays deep and just slips passes through to Robinho who can dribble through most defences and if not then there's always Pato and Cavani on his left and right.
Must have read your mind because I bought him about half hour ago. Criscito I think.

Yeah that's him, I bought him yesterday but couldn't remember his name, I haven't played a game with him yet but I'm hoping he's a rare gem.

Finding him really good so far, he was MOTM in his first game for me, even scored a goal! He's really solid defensively and quick enough to beat most attackers. Think I paid 350 coins for him.
Great stuff, I paid 450 coins for him, bargain!

If you're doing a Serie A/Italian side then you should definitely look into getting IF Pirlo, he's amazing at intercepting passes and has dominated the midfield in every game he's played so far for me. Cost me 19,000 coins or something.
I've done an Italian/Serie A/PL hybrid, got an Italian/Serie A backline and the rest Premier League, but I am looking for a midfielder to break up play, was thinking of either IF Ramires or standard Essien.
Unless there is anyone else better?

4-2-2-2 is a popular formation but not really for the Premier League as there isn't many fast CAM compared to the amount of fast wingers (Walcott, Bale, Gervinho, etc).

How is Robinho compared to Pato? Is his shooting any good? Want to get Robinho as I've had Pato but found him not that great for a player that costs 40K+
I think I'll go with Essien, he's a fair bit cheaper than Yaya and I have a few Chelsea players to link.

Don't overlook Cambiasso, he might only link in with your Italian defence but he's fantastic at breaking up the play. Just bear in mind that the stats on the card aren't the only stats and you should play against the CPU, pause the game and get a better idea of his full range of skills.
He's alright, he can hit them but I haven't tested the keeper with him from range on a consistent basis, he's very erratic for me. Most of the goals I score with him are tap ins or goals where I've outpaced the defence and then slide it past the keeper with a finesse shot. He's an amazing CF though, almost all of my attacks go through him, he gets so many assists because his pace can drag the defenders around the pitch opening up a gap for one of the strikers to run into. Fantastic player.
