Also my spec (although my 460 is a 1GB model and you're running 1080p I suspect) and beta ran great for me at 1680x1050 with some stuff on high but some other settings off or at low. I do plan on a new card soonish but want to see what AMD 7k series brings.

I suspect you're not going to have many whistles or bells at 1080p on a 460 768MB card.
 
Have just seen that if you own bf3 you will get early access to the mass effect 3 demo as well :)

Guys does anyone know if i buy BF3 from Origin after the 25th and before the 28th will that still be classed as a pre order as im in the UK and ill still get the limited edition version or standard?

and also if i preorder do they debit my card straight away or is it on the day of release? even if i pre download on the 21st? its just i dont get paid till the 26th :(

I've just pre-ordered (about 30 mins ago) and the money is already showing as being debited from my card.

You should be fine to pre-order on the 26th, the game doesn't release here until the 28th, my origin email order confirmation says "release date 28/10/2011" so you're still pre-ordering it before it's released :)

The fact that the US get's it earlier shouldn't make a difference AFAIK.

I can confirm that the "Limited Edition" runs out on the 2nd of November.

you cant get it changed via live chat and you can only do it via email
and changed to a untaken name
 
Just had a totally random off-topic thought,

Since 2009 when this thread was made, i wonder how many times this thread has not been on the first page when you click Pc Games section of the forum?

The amount of intrest in battlefield 3, EA must have made a friggin right wedge of dosh already from pre-orders alone the lucky buggers.
Not including converting them Haddock MW3 gamers when its actually out

This is just a guess, but from reading the torrent comments of the leaked russian copy it seems that they may not be able to even play the single player if you sell it on. When you install the game it starts up origin and asks for your CD key through it so i imagine that key will then be tied to your account.

I think the online pass thing is more for consoles I see the PC version more like a steam game, when you activate it, thats it no ability to sell it on at all.
