Easy. Define a testable hypothesis for God that will provide definitive results, and provide definitive proof that the assumptions that underpin scientific methodolgy and predictability can be demonstrated to be factual in reality.

If you manage to do either successfully, a noble prize beckons...

Ignoring for a second the fact that you just answered a question with a question, this what you're looking for? :p

I like using intelligent design vs evolution as an example.
Both are theories, the evidence for both is absolutely identical. Yet science doesn't care for one. It falls out side of scientific method. Science can't actually prove that evolution happens due to random mutations.

Are you actually kidding me? I physically don't understand any more how somebody can seriously say 'there isn't enough evidence for me to believe in evolution, so i'll just believe in this god for which there is no evidence instead'. Of course we can prove evolution!

yet again jumping to conclusion. I said nothing of my opinion, in that post and if you had read the others I don't believe in deitys. Read what I have actually written, not what you want me to say and thus make up in your head. Things might be clearer.

And i never said that was your opinion, merely that the idea that there is no more evidence for evolution than intelligent design is balderdash.

The are you kidding me bit tells a very different story.
Have you learnt anything about science and the reason I use that example as a comparison?

I can't believe that I'm saying this, but virtually every single definition you will ever find of god involves, at some level, that entity being responsible for the 'design' of the universe.

The point you're trying to make is utter drivel. Even if there is somebody, or some people that believe that god was not responsible for creating or designing the universe (and I include pantheists in there), but still somehow exists, they are part of such an insignificant minority that it hardly seems worth discussing.

Would you care to describe such a position, or a person that would hold such a decision? Or were you just trying to play the devil's advocate in order to waste my time?

God is the concept of man. And has no connection with the Universe other than what what Man has decided to connect God with.

Buddhism explicitly rejects a creator
Jainism does not support belief in a creator deity

6% of the worlds population are Buddist and Buddhism rejects a creator

Your point again?

You seem to base your argument of God on how popular certain religions are. The more popular the more closer to the truth they must be?

I'm sorry but it does not work this way

My goodness, do you actually believe what you write? I have stated that I'm an atheist, yet the majority of the world's population are religious, OF COURSE I DON'T BELIEVE THAT.

You also seem to be operating under the misguided apprehension that god is a concept that's inevitably linked to religion.

Please write a short piece on how you think 'god' features in Buddhism.

"Buddhists accept the existence of beings in higher realms but they, like humans, are said to be suffering and not particularly wiser than us. In fact the Buddha is often portrayed as a teacher of the gods, and superior to them."

Pantheist / taoist

Only thing that makes sense.

The material that makes up the cells in my body and allows me to be conscious is made from the universe. We are the universe not separate from it.

So what makes you appear alive?

This matter will be the same even if you are dead...so what is the distinction?
