The poor PC port of GTA4 means I will probably get GTA5 on a console.

Totally agree. No Saints Row! I loved GTA4, and it's expansions.

I doubt the new Xbox will be out next year so probably not The timing of this trailer is similar to GTA 4 I think? That was due to come out in April but got delayed to October didn't it? So they might be aiming for April again! Or if not get an early spot for the "fall" madness we get each year.

Unless the nextbox is out in 2012 then no. GTA games have always been announced less than 12 months before the target release date. Only exceptions are when the game was delayed. Nextbox is 2013 at the earliest.

Hope it is released on Vita though, rockstar have already confirmed 3 games for it, just no names yet

Considering Microsoft themselves havent even confirmed a new Xbox is on the way, it's incredibly unlikely this trailer would hint at being on a next gen console.

Besides that, it's looking like Christmas 2013 before the next gen consoles will be available.

I wouldnt want to see it looking\playing like Saints Row, That game was too comical. But somewhere in between GTA4 and Saints Row would be nice. And give us some damn colour back!! GTA4 had a depressing colour scheme, It was all dark and gloomy. Basically GTA 3, Vice City and SA were perfect. All they needed to do was update the engine, and give us a new story. Instead they made the game into such a Gloomy game
