if / when i buy an M4 ssd drive , if i install just windows onto it and allow everything else , saved onto my spare harddrive , how long should they expect to last? windows and + 1 or 2 games in the most ill have on it.

they sound good

yes it should be years as there is no mechanical parts to fail. its really just a block of chips with a bit of current and barley any heat.

there will also be no "click of death" or anything like that, wich are problems with some mechanical drives

According to SSDLife: http://ssd-life.com/

My drive is used for windows and antivirus only:

M4 64gb should be good for 32tb before cells start failing if my memory serves me right. 128gb is double.

Apparantly there's 8 years and 5 days left for my M4 64gb, and that's with pagefiling on. More than enough years to last me until my next upgrade :)

Heh, my 128GB C300:

Work time: 5996 hours (8 months 9 days 20 hours)
Powered on: 44 times
Health: 97%
Estimated lifetime: 8 years 6 months 9 days
(T.E.C. date - May 01, 2020)
