OH MY JEZUZ I AM PEED OFF NOW! Cant access the redeme code on origin and now gmg has gone down when I go back to dl there -.- I have the worst luck eva!

We know Rage was a bad console port and Crysis2 was poorly coded. BF3 is cleverer in that it will use up all available VRAM with stuff the Frostbite2 engine might need as your playing hence VRAM always looks maxed out. This is something I've read on other forums and I think it might be right. I'm running it fine with CF 5850s that have 1GB at Ultra/High settings 1080P.

This is the first time I have seen this much vram usage. It is strange that people are still getting different vrams usage for the same res i.e. for 1080p vram usage seem to vary from around 1GB all the way upto your figure :confused:

Edit: Just seen your above post and you are running xfire 1GB 5850.

So does that mean your actual vram usage is 1970/2 = 985MB which sounds about right and which I was getting aswell for my single 1GB 5850
 
How do you play the coop campaign in this? ive sent an invite to a friend and hes sent me one and neither of us can see them :s
 
Grrr getting kicked by admin constantly.

I flashed my 6850 bios, as it sounded like a rocket taking off and I was oblivious to the fact theres a bios fix for this, and installed the 11.10 prev 3 drivers, from my brief 5 mins seems to of fixed stuttering.

Mines just been dispatched, so check your email mate. Still, it's a bit cheeky of Amazon to do this when we pay extra for guaranteed release date delivery, they have obviously had the stock since the early week so why the hell not dispatch them on Wednesday to ensure we get the game on Friday! I just don't understand it. Now I have to spend the whole day tomorrow at work wondering if it has been delivered as opposed to other people who ordered from game, tesco etc who can chill at work knowing that they will be playing! Screw Amazon, never ordering from them again.
 
Argh, just had a nice email off of Asda, apparently they've cancelled my order for me!! Only ordered it from them as it was the cheapest I could find but have had no problems ordering from them in the past.. :mad:

Edit: Seems I'm not the only one!

Yep your right, VRAM isn't doubled in cfire/sli, it just gets cloned onto both cards. Do you think BF3 is being clever in that it will use up all available VRAM with stuff the Frostbite2 engine might need as your playing hence VRAM always looks maxed out. My origin.exe wont work properly. Trying to launch it either by itself or through the bf3 exe results in it showing as running in task manager, but not actually working or appearing. If I go to battlelog and try to join a server, then it will launch it properly but I just keep getting booted by admin in every server now. Had no problems earlier and nothing has changed so why is it doing it now :/

You cannot boot it through the .exe.

Try manually updating your PB
