Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I just joined the 32man tfu server knowing it was empty, was hoping to get some practice flying heli's on my own for a while but it will not start the match without at least 8 players.

Does anyone know of a way round this? Nose diving a heli during a match is never cool.

Why do hardcore servers have the minimap on

No hud, harsh bullets. Nothing else is needed! The map really annoys me :<

Quick Q - my setup is Q6600 / 2x HDD / 4gb DRR2 / MSI 560Ti. Beta played OK, but longer-term, has my Corsair 650w PSU got enough oomph?

Be advised!

Decided to take the plunge and dump another 2x2GB RAM Sticks in to bring me up to 8GB. Runs okay on 4 but having to close down stuff I would rather leave open.

4GB works fine, but I prefer to leave my 12819281928 Rain meter plugins running

And RAM is cheap cheap cheap

Plenty.

I run an i7 @ 4.5GHz, 4GB DDR3, SSD, HDD on a Corsair 520Watter that is coming up for 4 years old now.

Another question - are the bullets as powerful as in the beta? I hope so. I hope they haven't nerfed the Power of the weapons....

What exactly should the differences be with hardcore? I was playing on a HC server last nigh but didn't really notice any difference :confused:

i have to say that might not be the case, i had it last night, had other issues with my net and virgin said i'd been capped, and this is the only thing i'd been doing that involved downloading.

speed of the download was definately not disk to disk speed either.

usually involves higher damage levels, no mini map, no cross hair etc

sick of origin thats twice the download has rest after being at 80 odd persent! this eats into my bloody download allowance each month , its utter crap!

It does download a patch as well, apparently around 70% it should have asked for the second disk?

Are people having trouble getting Origin to work with retail versions of the game?

My brother mentioned he'd seen reports of people having trouble with Origin not working with retail versions but I've not found anything (after a very very quick google...as I'm at work)??

Just played Tehran Highway and it was confusing, chaotic and immense. The sound is brilliant, with the thundering boom of the tank's cannon, the crack of rifle fire and the snaps as a round hits the brickwork close to your head.

Partner wants to play Sims 3 Pets now...

Its annoying the hell out of me... I miss the days when you could just jump on an empty server and fly !!!
