This game is pretty amazing. I'm quite average at it, but it's probably the most enjoyable game I currently own. Just had a very entertaining session of 24 player squad deathmatch. Loving some of the new maps, but 64 players is a bit laggy on my dodgy 1.5Mb interweb connection though.

Any tips anyone could share as to how you go about controlling helicopters without crashing them and their passengers into the side of a mountain? xbox controller? massive reduction in mouse sensitivity? Seems weird to have something with such a steep learning curve and no way of practising without screwing other people over

Enjoyed a few hours on beer drinkers there, Much better pace on the maps with only 32 players, and i notice you had some points removed from the conqest maps

Given time an optimisations like this i think the game will get better and better, its all about finding a sweetspot in terms or numbers and map rotations

They don't really explode.

Google "shaped charge".

Edit: Obviously a direct hit will make a nasty end to your day, but it's not like they have huge splash damage.

The design of the grenade shapes the explosion I understand but a rapid expansion of energy is still an explosion. ;)

They had zero splash damage when I played the closed/open beta.

I've barely used a helicopter, but it seems to use a similar control model to what I remember Battlefield 2 having. The trick is to make lots of very small adjustments, otherwise you quickly find you've gone too far and crash into something.

Going to jump on the Overclockers server tonight if I can. There's only one person on there at the minute. Hopefully see some of you on there :D

Agreed. I think the best thing about BF3 is how good Battlelog is. Why have a buggy, slow and clunky ingame browser when the you can have a smart HTML/PHP style web browser with so much more information.

It's basically Facebook for Battlefield 3.

I hope Elite in Modern Warfare 3 is something similar.

No elite for PC.

I'm glad they brought back the Q Rose menu. Is there a way to call for a medic or ammo? Drives me ******* mad when everyone around you is a medic or support and none of them give you ammo when you need it. It isn't easy to hit K and type "give me ammo" when you're in the middle of a duel.

***No swearing, disguised or not!***

Was playing some bf3 earlier with a few friends and managed to fraps a particular moment which i found rather funny/awesome to watch

***Don't post videos that contain swear words!***

EDOT: appologises, didn't realise ;/

Only had my 560ti for about 3 weeks from amazon, might try and send it back as they offer a 30 day return policy and order an ati card instead as I'm sick of driver issues with nvidia even though I know ati are far from perfect at the minute.

Is anyone playing this with 2 or more people through the same router? The GF I can't connect to the same server, one joins the other and it kicks them out :(

One router has one IP address and the BF3 server will see just one client unless theres some clever technique I've not heard of.

One of you try using 56k dial up :o
