does the sound of constant traffic anoy you?

I used to live in the centre of Manchester, just diagonally across from Boddingtons car park.

I was on the 6th floor and there was traffic 24/7 which was annoying. I ended up moving out of the city and I sleep so much better now!

In summer I can have my windows open wide, even at night.

I guess after a while you get used to it. It wasn't until I spent my first week here that I realised just how much noise from the traffic there was!

I pretty much live on a busy road especially in the middle of the night you get some right ****s blasting it down my road....i swear my road is somewhat of a F1 racing track but without the bends:p....but ive got used to it.

I remember sleeping at one of my friends place, he lives out in the sticks and geezus the lack of noise kept me awake :/

I am now part of the Wardening team for an undergraduate hall.

I sleep through quite a lot of drunken yoiking and shouting. If I am not asleep by 1am then I find it hard to go to sleep due to drunks coming back, however it also amazes me that if I am already asleep I will sleep through it!

My house is about 300 yards away from the A1, I hear a constant hum of traffic but you get used to it completely. Quite weird when you go to someone else's house and there's utter silence though!

I could be the same looking at google maps. 300yards from the A1...luckily for me it's in Edinburgh and at night is pretty quiet! :p

Staying where I stayed in Aberdeen (in all three locations too) was pretty crap! Being fairly modern builds any heavy vehicles actually shook the buildings!
