I found the problem which was affecting my game every 20 mins or so, the UPNP setting needs to be switched off and the ports for BF3 manually inputted.
 
Disabled hyperthreading on my i7 to try and cure the mad microstuttering/lag thing I've had since beta and no luck. Totally out of ideas now and MP is just completely pointless on a high end rig.

Can't even go through a door without bouncing off the sides and moving forwards is a fight in itself.
 
mmmm complained to EA regarding ASDA... offered me 15% discount code on anything OTHER than BF3. Told them I was not amused and just escalated my complaint to a team... which turns out is pointless.

I am sorry but currently we don't have any other promotion going on for the BF3 game. What I can do for you is I can provide you 15% discount code and you can use that code to purchase other game.

Someone swapped my ammo for blanks overnight i think... can't seem to kill anything today. Ever the gun on the tank is getting multiuple hits but no kill :(
 
I'm having some difficult getting quick kills of people when I have a clear shot at them with any gun. It seems to take me a whole clip of rounds to take them out even though I'm aiming for the upper torso/head. Either I'm not accounting for bullet drop (even though sometimes the other person isn't that far away), or I'm just terrible!

lol said this for years ive not played a game with more than 50 players that doesnt lag . such a resource hog and 64 man is a bit too much .

i reckon after first month a lot will drop down to 50 to see if it helps.

Ranks have nothing to do with the longevity or otherwise of the game. People still play BF1942, BF2, 2142 even with max-rank. Who cares about the ranks? It's the core gameplay that gives the game life.

I quite like them, gives you something to aim for later on. Yes ranks and unlocks aren't the be all and end all of a game but it adds to the fun factor.
