Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I didn't get a prompt either to shoot the guy, I just spammed shoot as he walked towards the door and it worked, I know it took me 4 attempts to do it tho because it just wouldn't fire, having to go through the cutscene each time annoyed the hell out of me too, what a dumb place to put a checkpoint!

I got a triple kill yesterday by doing this.

I was pinned down behind come cover, so decided to launch a rocket up at the building above the guys shooting at me, it came crashing down and BOOM triple kill :)

Absolutely immense.

I have since had many many kills by doing this.

I have also noticed that if someone is inside a building with a front that will blow off, do not fire a rocket inside the window, instead, fire it at the concrete on the outside, building will then blow out and kill the occupants inside.


I am absolutely loving this game, almost level 30 now and I have had some cracking battlefield moments so far.

Am also loving being a pilot :) both jet and helicopter, using mouse and keyboard seems to be the way to do it, and it's great being on vent with my gunner and raping the other teams armor.

How can you be level 30 in 2 days??

You must be playing 24 hours a day?

Right, if a pilot lands a helicopter and gets out and starts to repair it.. DO NOT switch to the pilot seat and take off and leave him.. :mad:
 
ZO-MY-GOD!!! How can you people be disappointed? Granted I was well dubious at times playing the beta, I can't believe I almost cancelled my order, but so glad I didn't!

The graphics with everything maxxed out are simply stunning (especially in the campaign which I'm finding to be excellent a real suprise considdering the ign and gamespot reviews, some of the missions are incredibly engaging (the first jet fighter mission = the best fps moment of my life so far)).

AND with all the eye candy, which far outshines anything the crytek engine has ever done, I'm sitting solid on 60 fps at 2560 x 1440.

Amazing, well done Frostbite!!!
 
Had some weird glitch happen just now.. Got shot and was nearly dead and got revived. Then couldnt see any of the HUD, no team icons or anything.. Had to run in to people hoping to die, so i can respawn. ESC didnt even work either
 
mine have all been fine except for my mosue wheel.

Usually have it setup so mouse wheel down to primary weapon and mouse wheel up to pistol but BF£ tries to bind them as axis so it just doesn not work..

this was not a problem in BFBC2

Ohh and for thos who are having problems with the enter exit viechle bug... have you tried reasigning the same button under land, air and soldier? each one has a button set to enter / exit viechle.

I had that yesterday when i loaded into a server for my first match on it. I thought i had accidentally joined a hardcore server at first until i asked a mate i was on the server with if he had a hud, could see the objectives etc. Ended up having to restart the game to get it all back.
