Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Anyone know if the following is a server or system issue?

I'll be sprinting along, run around a corner, see someone, start shooting then suddenly i'm standing about 15-20 feet behind where I was a few seconds earlier, only happens on certain servers though which is why I think it may be a server issue.

Yeah sounds like rubber banding (so lag, basically).
 
I tried playing on the TFU HC server last night and it wasn't that bad. However when the opposite team started filling up with TFU members and then when they proceeded to stack teams every game it got a little boring being ass whipped every single game. I gave up and went to a HC 16 man server. Oh and on the TFU HC 32 man there was hit reg problems too! Don't say its bad aiming because I can't exactly miss with someone right next to me...

They speak on Mumble, so that may be one of the reasons you got owned, but if they were delibrately stacking on one side, then i think that's unfair, i've seen it done before in games where a clan will stack on one side and it results to the other team that are full of randoms getting the **** end of the stick, it will backfire and people will leave.
 
They were stacking on purpose with the odd TFU member being on our side. Got a little boring and a number of people did leave the server as a result.

well they were kicking people who were owning them in the early afternoon so thank yourself lucky! :p

theres other great servers out there that arent nearly getting as much pulicity that you should try:

As far as i know it is server-side, there has been quite a bit of it on the ocuk server(though not for me the last few sessions i played on it) and everyone basically just says it is unplayable and leaves.

There were 27 of us on mumble last nite and 19 in one room playing on our HC rush server, it would be kind of hard for us not to stack the teams. We don’t have the option to swap players, so when we eventually were able to join the server we were auto switched.

The hit reg is exactly the same on our serves as others, with the greatest respect it must be your aim as you’re the first person to mentioned about hit reg problems on our server. Whats more the HC server is most stable out of all 4 of our servers.

However if you feel pee’d off about us “stacking” I’l mention to the guys 2nite and remind them to try avoid stacking.

This couldn't be futher from the truth, only 3 - 4 people have kick right atm. The only people who have been kicked have been people who spend round after round using Mortar Strikes on base

That said none of you have to play on our server, there are plenty of other good servers out there. We like to play fair and keep the games fair. So if a few bitter ex members want to bad mouth us carry on ;)

It is damn frustrating, you have clear line of fire, start shooting then bang, you're standing where you were a few seconds before. When it happens I just find another server, however maybe 3 our of 5 servers seem to have it :(
 
when you get revived by an engineer and immediately killed before "accepting" - why does it count again to your deaths?!?!? :confused:
 
So why were we losing every round when almost the entire opposite team had TFU tags? Ok maybe it wasn't mumble player stacking but it was TFU stacking or player skill stacking.

Like I said goon, I can't miss a person if they are next to me lying on the floor facing the opposite way to me no matter how much of a tard I am. To be honest I'm a pretty good player bragging or not.

Other people probably don't realise the hit reg is so bad but I'm very sensitive to it because I'm quite conservative with my ammo. I'm not a spray a whole clip into a person type of player.

Yeah a lot of people don't realise its not 100% the servers fault but can be game based too. Thats one of the reasons why TH was removed from our map rotation. That map is so laggy, everyone would jump to the conclusion it was the server and start moaning :(

Really hope DICE pull their finger out and sort out the lag on the maps as I do quite like TH, it's nice having a night time map to spice things up a little.
 
TFU and Bronken proving to be far and away the best hangouts for me. Definitely need to break into the clan scene again for BF3 - haven't done that since BF2!- absolutely loving it!

^ Yeah i kind of said-server side in response to the question of whether there was anything we as players could do about it, i know everyone is apparently having problems with Tehran Highway due to a problem with the actual design of the map. In retrospect i should have said server or client-side to be clearer:)


^^ They are by far the 2 most stable servers i have played on, Bronken especially
