The best gadget ever, ever...EVA!!!!

OcUK made me buy one of them about 2 years ago. It is ace but the 1 poached egg is a bit of an issue.

this seems to be the biggest issue. if it had the capacity to do up say 4 poached eggs (not boiled eggs), then it would be worth buying.

it takes 4 mins to do 1 egg, it's just not worth all the hassle when you can buy a 4 egg poacher for £10.

Try this out its yummy and its what i do with poached eggs:

After you break the egg into the bowl chop up a tomato into *tiny* pieces and chuck em in. If you got a boiled potato to hand slice some bits of that in as well. Sprinkle some coriander on. Dice a *little* green chilli on it (caution: dont get too happy with this ..ur doing it just to add a LITTLE kick) Salt & pepper to taste.

And poach the thing. Yum :)

so...an omelette then? :p

Had one...well..2 after the toaster stopped working and it was replaced, we won it in the missus Christmas work do raffle around 4 years ago. Never had the desire to make just one single poached egg though..

(and it was a little bit rubbish at that too, besides - poached eggs are ruddy simple to make.)

Mornings are no longer a hassle anymore (I also have a George Foreman grill for my bacon! :D )

Which one? We have two and neither of them are any use for bacon whatsoever, unless you like it soggy :(

I like my bacon crispy though which I don't think the george fomrby can do.

I have a microwave poacher, holds 2 eggs, just add water. simples.

Although the best thing like this is clearly the toasty bags for making toasted sarnies. win.

I seriously couldn't be bottomed to wait that long for the toaster to do it's thing for one egg. What a yawn fest

For a poached egg, it takes the same time as it does for the bread to toast - and they obviously cook at the same time - so unless you find waiting for bread to toast a yawn fest....

For one egg though. You can poach two or three at the same time in water (or the microwave). And no, my toast doesn't take 6 minutes, as per the video in the OP.

not sure if serious.

you just leave the bacon in the thing until its crispy, put it on the highest heat setting.

its a grill/oven and works the exact same way a conventional grill/oven does.

i usually find they go too crispy if your not constantly checking up on them. the foreman has a tendency to dehydrate meat.

I have an excellent idea for a toaster that could revolutionise toasting. I just need to find some way to make a prototype and then find some one to make it.

what do you think i should do, i check google it has not been done yet.

This is the sort of thing that you get for Christmas that lasts until about January 10th, then you will just put it in a cupboard for the rest of its life, as you probably already have a toaster.
