First post in the BF3 thread and must say I love the game, first Battlefield game I've played to be honest.

Just a quick question, when in game I sometimes get a green flash on screen (not very often), it's not that annoying just bugging me a little, I wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. The Card is a GTX580 3gb.

Other than that the game runs perfectly. Graphically amazing I'd say.

:P

Can't help but laugh when you see the snipers sitting up in the hills on kharg/firestorm, rocks on caspian or their own base on tehran, thinking they're some kind of pro sniper, when they barely hit anything, contribute absolutely nothing to their team and are basically just prats.

Indeed!!
Though you've got to start somewhere, learn the distances. I have to admit i'm getting rather badass at sniping but i know how far is too far, i'll never be on the hilltops but more likely on rooftops.

A few people, including me. It can happen loads in one round and then not at all for the next 5. It's strange but hopefully resolved soon.

Posted in the other BF3 thread as well, but does anyone have bench marks of pre latest catalyst (halloween) vs. new catalyst drivers? BF3 improvements apparently.

I've got the 580 also. Not sure if it just affects this card (I don't think so) but I know others have experienced it too. Think it may be a BF issue, but not sure.

^^ Doesn't look like I'm sure on anything!

How does this chat work? I have submitted an request but the option for them to contact me is "email" how do i get live chat support?

Via EA Help/Support I firstly sent a ticket/email

I checked the status the next day and the Live Chat option was available, I connected to a CSR within a few seconds and after giving them my email and order number they generated a new code right there.

I just popped th new code into Origin and it was sorted, hope that helps

Massive difference in the new CPU/RAM/Mobo I got today on Battlefield. I read recently that the game isn't CPU bound and there wasn't that much difference between dual core and quad... totally not the case!

E8400, 4GB DDR2: 30 - 60 on "High" with no MSAA and medium shadows
i5 2500k, 8gb DDR3: 55+ on the default "Ultra"

Both have the same graphics card / drivers.

Performance graphs:

Old CPU/RAM
New CPU/RAM

Happy :D
