Beer drinkers is R7 patched

DICE have released Server Update R7 with the following changes:

- Fix for rubber banding.

- TDM/SQDM spawn point fix.

- 2 crash fixes in end of round.

- Fix for connection problem when joining password protected servers.

- Removed ‘vars.allUnlocksUnlocked’ once ranked server settings are enforced, this may return in some form
 
having loads of fun with this game just annoyingly i seem to get quite a few crashes. not running afterburner or anything.

oh i looked for the patch game says it's upto date in origin but i just tried the repair install and its downloading 48 meg of something dunno if it's a corrupted file because it seem too small for a patch.

There anyone else who likes HC mode?

I played for a while on the OcUK server the other day, but the lack of hardcore mode is disappointing. I really hate putting round after round in people with no effect :(

I don't tend to have any issues putting people down and it doesn't take that much to kill them (Im like FPS doug, straight for the head :p).. Also doesn't take much for them to kill me too :mad:
 
Hardcore modes the way foward, adds a real self preservation element to the gameplay. People are less likely to run around like headless chickens and you dont run out of ammo after 4 kills through having to pump 20 rounds into someone who's standing on a medpack to kill them.
 
The defib thing isn't the games fault.

Its down to the players who die. They can either wait for a defib, or they can just spawn as soon as they can.

Chances are if you up to revive somebody and it doesn't work, they've respawned rather than wait

I don't think that's the problem. There are times when I've had to try to revive one of my squad mates three or four times before it worked. It seems to be very picky about how far you are from the body: too close and it won't revive them. You have to be just the right distance away.

My only problem with hardcore mode is teamkilling. I have lost count of the number of times I have been firing at the enemy when one of my players runs right infront of me and the cries about the tm :(

I got a load of abuse yesterday with something like this, launched an rpg about 300 metres, just after I fire, I see one of my team mates running in the same direction where it's about to hit...boom, TK then loads of abuse at me, lol
