Loving this game, just awesome. Been playing on the server loads but sorry OcUK, 64 player maps are just not my cup of tea. Just too mad and fragmented. 32 player conquest and 16 player team DM for me.

Some awesome players about. Jam0r and the 'EL_' guys!

Cheers the EL_(guys) are me and my mates, been loving this game from the start

Why do a lot of servers play Caspian Border twice, each team starting once from each side? It's not like there's any advantage starting one side over the other.

things i miss from bf2:

jets having bombs

2 seater jets

jets having them white lines from edge of wings when there going super sonic (dno what there called), like what jets in the sky make them white lines, made it easier to spot enimys.

flags being spread out

commander

maps where the team with the aircraft carrier was more than 20 foot from the shore line so you could have air combat over the sea

more simple and easier unlocks and enjoying the game more rather than the feeling into having to play it no matter how much you get killed as a low rank just to get good equipment to be competetive

Formed an Easy Company platoon with a couple of OCuK mates :D

Soon after discovered there was an Easy Company platoon in the Top 10 Platoons in the world.....god dammit

Today i have played my first day with the souncard and headset that i have just bought(from ocuk;)). I have not used a decent headset before or ever bothered with a soundcard, but i have to say that it is in a different league!
After some advice i went with the Xonar DG for £20 and the Corsair HS1A gaming headset for £29.99.

After coming from onbaord sound with a crappy headset to these the difference in the game is immense, i couldn't imagine playing without them now. The level of detail you can hear is absolutely amazing and the first time a chopper flew over my head was breathtaking:D Immersion is taken to a whole other level with these, hearing footsteps clear as a bell and shots firing past you is absolutely epic, best £50 i ever spent! I have not used the mic yet but i will probably get on mumble tomorrow.:)

The only problem i am having is that i am slightly overwhelmed and i think it will take me some time to get used to them.

...defib very rarely works
...
Also i just started the ocuk server Caspian Border and whilst i was at the deployment i suddenly die and the death screen comes up with the message"Bad luck". WTF is that all about?

The defib thing isn't the games fault.

Its down to the players who die. They can either wait for a defib, or they can just spawn as soon as they can.

Chances are if you up to revive somebody and it doesn't work, they've respawned rather than wait

As for the "bad luck" that usually happens when you get killed by something environmental and indirect. e.g. a petrol tank exploding after taking bullets earlier which set it on fire.

Oh i didn't know that, so you can choose your spawn point straight away and that stops you being revived? (should be some indication tbh)

I thought the player who fired would still get the kill, has happened to me a few times i think.
