Someone must be activating the command post. The snipers generally get three shots in.

Rustlung is a fantastic map. Managed to get the flame turret now which feels useless as well. :rolleyes:

If you only want the dlc for the multiplayer maps you might as well save your money as the maps for DLC 1 will be freely available for versus mode. Plus one of the maps that features on dlc 2 Raams whatever, Bullet marsh is also going to be a free download along with clock tower. Wouldnt surprise me if parts of DLC 3 and 4 are also made freely available as well.

Gears 3 continues to be a big let down for me. :(
 
I'd be peed of if i'd bought the season pass TBH! As they're going to be releasing the maps for free you've essentially paid for a few additions to Horde/Beast,a few characters and some weapon skins.

You still get the horde stuff and tbh I'd rather they did it that way. Makes the Versus much less limiting. I'd rather that than have people join versus games and not play new maps.
 
ic1male have you ground out the silverback level yet. My god they have made it far too high. You end up with people in game just going for silverback. That's the trouble with these fortifications the game doesn't settle down again until everyones finished upgrading for achievements.

I've about an 8th of the bar left to go for the silverback rockets and it's taken me about 3 hours!
 
No I've only done about 1/8th. I had a good go last night but that's all I managed. I wonder how much it's going to cost to upgrade the silverback to rocket mode. Another $20,000 or something ridiculous?

I've done all the other things, the flame sentry is definitely not worth it. The Onyx Guard is not bad but he typically gets killed on the boss waves so all in all a bit pointless. The command centre is probably the only one worth using on the boss wave when you upgraded to level 4.
 
Everyone was repairing my silverback last night, no doubt to grind it out.

Feels a bit harsh getting all the kills in a game though, so I kept parking it up until i really needed it. No one jumped in it and stole it off me?
 
Well you can practically guarantee that two people will drop out of the game when someone purchases the silverback. Sod em I say.
 
Finally got the rocket upgrade. That's not the end though, another level on the silverback $400,000 to spend, sod that. Way OTT, so you will end up with no one buying defenses and upgrading the SB.

I won't be able to get out the SB with the rocket upgrade, that will get stolen straight away.
 
Two of us were playing on normal, was good as he was fixing SB with me but had no interest in getting in it. Good challenge with just two.
 
I can get to 39 on my own on normal, got battered on 40 and gave up after a few tries :D

Still trying to unlock the vampire mutator to add a different element.

I think it's a further discount. Perhaps 50% on repairs now.

Did you have a chance to use the rockets? Are they any good? Are they unlimited too?
 
The rockets are awesome, on normal they kill a corpser in one hit no matter where you hit it on level 10. They are unlimited, reload every 4 shots.

I was going to just whip through the 500 kills but my little lad hit the power button on my 360, it's annoying because you have to buy the SB for 12.5k and then 10k to upgrade it!

I'm wondering if I have the rocket equipped SB whether others can use it for the achievement? I got 98 kills on overpass on my own in 5 rounds.
 
It's probably worth saving up $22,500 in one go then so you don't spend on unnecessary repairs. I wonder if they can kill the beserkers and armoured kantuses in a couple of shots, too. I hate levels with the normal beserkers as they can just crash into the damn thing and wreck it.
 
Wave 25 right now and boomers now take 2 rockets. They can kill non lambent beserks but it's not worth the risk of them running at you. The damage costs cripple you.

I reckon I've almost got the 500 kills now, playing in a pair. I will let someone with the dlc use my SB soon and see if the kills register towards the achieve.
 
Booted up Gears earlier to get the horde pack, is it only 2Mb :confused: seems really small.

Also whats the new icon mean next to the silver back :confused:

I wanna play but BF3 has me hooked at the mo :p

Confirmed though that if you have the dlc you can get the 500 silverback achievement without levelling up. Wyrdo hopped in my upgraded SB and his rocket kills counted towards his 500.
