My only problem with hardcore mode is teamkilling. I have lost count of the number of times I have been firing at the enemy when one of my players runs right infront of me and the cries about the tm :(

I got a load of abuse yesterday with something like this, launched an rpg about 300 metres, just after I fire, I see one of my team mates running in the same direction where it's about to hit...boom, TK then loads of abuse at me, lol

It happens im afraid, its one thing i think they should improve slightly also is the speed of rpg's AT weapons, my god they're slow. I know bf3 is not supposed to be ultra realistic but it is supposed to be less arcade'y than BC2 but as far as i can see they havent got away from the slow mo cartoony feel to the Anti tank weapons present in BC2.

Has anyone discovered how powerfull the M.A.V is yet ? Seems to be the only thing i can get kills with in an urban map, its brilliant fun flying around with it though, its a little mini game of its own.

I love using the MAV. Really enjoy supporting my squad mates as the "eye in the sky". But am I missing something? How are you getting kills with it??

Anyone else finding it a real struggle to maintain a positive K/D Ratio? I know it's not something that should be heavily focused on in a team based game such as this but I just can't help it. That's years of CoD for you I guess.

I felt major rage last night because I was running with 12 kills and 3 deaths and 5 mins later ended the round with 12 kills and 13 deaths when the tide turned. This tends to happen a lot. I can get the kills but just die a horrible amount. I know it's partly just down to skill but I suspect I'm not just playing it the smart way.

No not really. Rarely finish a game with a negative K/D ratio because it's so easy to kill people I find.

Currently:

Kills 582
Deaths 305
K/D Ratio 1.908

Today i have played my first day with the souncard and headset that i have just bought(from ocuk;)). I have not used a decent headset before or ever bothered with a soundcard, but i have to say that it is in a different league!
After some advice i went with the Xonar DG for £20 and the Corsair HS1A gaming headset for £29.99.

Hi if its a 5.1 headset make sure you doing the following in the sound options in the game menu

Home cinema
Stero Mix (off)

Will blow you're head off

Get over it. Mine is negative and I couldn't care less as I happily sacrifice myself if it means a teammate can arm the objective. It probably is down to skill too (I'm pretty average though getting better) but hey, it's just a game for people with working lifes so just have fun.

So you slow when in turn, to decrease the turning circle? ;)

Hacker tbh

;)

That helps, but only halfway to the stupid turning circle of doom keystroke combo. It's more than just pressing slow down and the better you alternate the strokes the tighter the turning circle.

Rather than focus on doing that + turning + spotting + aiming + shooting I can focus on the important stuff and macro out the keystrokes when I need them :D

Yeah it helps that the K/D Ratio is buried deep in the stats page and isn't prominent anywhere. I'm a sniper so it's usually partly down to the fact that I get chewed up in CQB. Might start using the SKS to mix things up a bit.

Is that better than Wartapes?

Its more correct i guess thats what sound is about, try it i guess, if a sniper headshots you it will feel like it really just happened

even if your using wartapes with a 5.1 system/hedaset make sure you turn stero mix off cannot stress that turning that option off makes the world a better place.

Also did anyone pick up on the screen adjustment tip i posted a few pages back, as the game only sees about 85% of your screen so with high fov 90 it warps the last 15% fish eye style
