M1911 /w tactical light
Med kits
Defib
Squad flak armour

Just got my K/D to 3.01 and SPM is near 550 I think.

I rock a 870MCS and G17 for CQB on recon.

I'll drop down to a lower magnification scope on maps with a good mix of CQB and open areas.

12x Ballistic for large open maps.

Definitely mix it up, trying to use rifles in CQB is ultimately frustrating.

Jet's are a funny thing to fly, i use the mouse and keyboard, prefer it over my Xbox 360 controller, put me in a chopper though, and it's a different story, i can actually fly it like a pro, but no-one seems to join me.

With all due respect, you can't be a "a sniper" all the time. If you support your team by sniping to give them cover so they can advance, then fair enough, but there are too many guys already in this game setting up camp trying to get some random kills undoubtedly to show off how awesome their stats are. Play a few different classes depending on the situation. If there's a tank coming change to Engineer and take it out with your RPGs or if you're brave and want to have fun take it out with some C4 (great feeling). If there's an alleyway where everybody is stuck pick up an LMG and provide suppresive fire.
I like playing assault these days and sticking right behind some better players and backing them up and reviving them as soon as they go down while also trying to take down some enemies with some of my new gun toys. Quite satisfying and it helps to win the game I'm sure.
 
I love the thermal optics on the Mobile AA, you can view soldiers hiding behind rocks, trees all enemies are visible.

Think it's due to this.

Lol thi first day in ages I get a chance to play and all the Maintenance takes place :( Got work at a 2.30 so dont see much playtime today :(

Should be on 85 FOV on a 1920x1080, higher seems to create a fisheye effect, i'm on 70-80 on 1600x900 [i brought out my Samsung Syncmaster 20" again so i could play on Ultra].

I'm certainly a bit guilty of trying to snipe in all situations regardless of map etc, which is clearly not uncommon. I'm not a "wookie" though and do try to support the team. I'm a pretty good medium to long range sniper but am not very flexible and that is most likely the reason I've been struggling a bit so far I guess. I will attempt to run in with my pistol a lot and that has mixed results.

Will start switching the classes and/or equipment I use more depending on the map. I reckon I'll start finding my feet soon that way.
 
So people can't even play single player while they're waiting for the servers to be fixed? Gotta love this age of cloud computing. I guess this is why people like Razor exist :/.

Anyone know if Tesco stores are selling BF3 for the PC?

Ok,

Really simple fix, go into the video options in game,

down the left you will see screen adjustment (click it)

it opens a view of what the game thinks your screen size is, you will notice a white box around 15% into your screen.

use your arrow keys, to move the picture arrows to the edge of your screen, this pushes the aspect ratio back to flat and will improve the view
