its not really a FOV issue to a point as 90 is not really that high it would give you fish eye, its more an aspect ratio issue, you could go to 90 and see no ill effect if you adjust the screen size

Same thing for BF:BC2, fisheye effect at 90 FOV.

Noob Q time - can any one link an intro to the classes and various unlocks for players and vehicles? Each time I play I get a host of interesting looking unlocks but no idea how to access most of them or what I am meant to do to play a class effectively (I have figured out how to repair vehicles lol).
 
Assault - heal teammates, revive once you unlock defib
Support - use MG to suppress, drop ammo
Engineer - spam RPG ... no I mean repair vehicles!
Recon - well, you should spot enemies, drop radio beacons, use the UAV etc, but probably just hide in a bush and try and headshot people across the map ;)

The unlocks are often specific to one side or the other - i.e. russian only.

Fixed.
 
jet unlocks are retarded, They have effectively locked out the jets to only those that played on day1 (or day-3) since you need 3 kills to unlock flares and then even more to get heatseakers!

so trying to get any kills whatsoever whilst your being locked on from the ground and a massive ass plane behind you is impossible!

I sense some frustration :D

Maybe just try and kill some helicopters that hover :cool:
 
Thanks for the quick replies guys (this thread moves so fast!)

Most of that makes some sense, I'll need to read up on spotting and UAV as I have no idea what those mean :(
