In any case there'll be some terrible pilots that you can pick off eventually. It's only three ffs. You must just suck the big one if you can't manage to kill three flying machines. If it's really that difficult for you, just talk a mate into letting you kill him on an empty server. I personally love the unlock system and being a noob is no bad thing, in fact it's a fun challenge.

Spotting - basically if you see an enemy (on foot, vehicle or airborn) then hitting Q will "spot" them, which allows your teammates to see them on the map and tags them with an orange dot.

The UAV is a flying drone you can unlock as part of the recon class - quite good fun I believe.

In bfbc2 I used fov setting 59 to get 90 fov is this the same for bf3 ?

I did set as 90 in the setting but I think that it's putting me at a disadvantage at mid-long range trying to shoot my targets lol.

So for 1080p should I leave the fov settings at 60?

The few 64 conquest severs I have been on have been lag free and no rubber banding at all, so the R7 release looks to have fixed that particular problem.

About time too, rubber banding has been probably the most annoying bug so far!

I must admit yesterday was a disaster for me things were lagging that bad, I played for 2 hours solid and didnt finish one round with a positive K/D ratio.
I had one round where I finished 0/11 deaths.

I've never played a whole round or any online shooter and finished with out killing anyone.

It was so bad yesterday I shot one guy with about 15 rounds of full auto in the chest he got me a couple of times and I died, when the kill cam came up I hadnt registered any damage at all on him.
Rage quit at that point, had some tea and sulked.

I've gone and orederd the Saitek Cyborg F.L.Y 5 joystick for jetting about (previously used an evo force for BF2). Anyone using this? how is it in BF3?

Agreed, in jets it was horrible, had a full round in the jets and no banding at all, very enjoyable.

I love it when you think you have made it to cover, only to die and be pulled back around the corner. The PKP with a slower rate of fire really shows the marshmallow bullet effect well at times. RAGE

Had my first online experience in BF3 yesterday. Spawned on a map next to a large AA gun. "this looks fun" as an enemy plane came into range and I shot it down.

First kill of the game for me
