Have any of you actually been to Iran or know any Iranian people?
Its a big country. The capital cities are pretty modern and forward thinking.. Its only the remote areas that have a suspect activities - and thats all we hear about.

This has nothing to do with the government helping the regime.. its about religious politics. Absolutely disgusting that people on here support our governments action.

er, the face that they have stated openly to want to wipe israel off the map

the face they have so much oil for power, yet seem intenet on wanting nuclear facilities

the fact that they sponsor quite of few of the worlds terrorists, causing problems in the region.

its not all propoganda, some of these things are facts that iran openly admit

We will never go to war with iran, as we just couldn't do it.

America and Britains navy would out gun there navy. Not only with the range of weapons but air support and subs. Just because a country has a navy doesnt mean it can be deployed as a fighting force. If it was a open ended battle with both navys coming head on Iran would take massive losses before their navy got in range. A denfence force is what they have which is useless in a war as mass air power of the states would take care of a lot.

I still wouldnt think they would sit back and watch but the impact that they would make wouldnt be to much.

The Iraq war was ridiculous, they were never a threat to anyone and despite having a dictator for a leader, he was actually doing a lot of good for the country including pushing forward a secular government.

Iran and Afghanistan were the main problems ever since that time, but with Iran being a lot better developed and no where near a push over like the other two, the west ignored it and went into Iraq purely for oil.

I think it is naive to already jump to such conclusions when such event hasn't even taken place. Things can change very quickly in war. I am sure you have heard of 'Asymmetric warfare'.

Its pointless this because i was in uk army cre for 5 yrs and if you ask anyone in the forces they fooookin love war. its what we are trained to do and its fun. hard work and yes dangerous but exciting and a great experience so the usual why should our boys and gals put their life on the line is nonsense. if they didnt want to go to war then they shouldnt of joined up in the first place. I was almost exploding in my pants first time i was contacted in iraq. honestly no feeling like it in the world. its amazing. so dont worry about them if we do step in it will be a coallition effort at first then peacekeeping. although iraq has been at war with neighbouring countries for centuries and are very good on their own turf, where there is a will there is a way. look at gudaafi
