Lexus ISxx £10k

How much of the list in the OP has been verified by a non-Volvo garage?
I'd be reluctant to take their word for it to be honest.

With the Lexus IS, you can get quite a bit of car for your money, 10k should easily see Mark Levinsob hifi, reverse camera, heated leather, etc etc, however, don't be fooled by the IS220D, it isn't economical, even if it is a diesel, look at the petrol version, otherwise, if you want a diesel, look elsewhere.

I don't think 10k buys a good 3 series at all, proven by the fact the best you found was a 5.5 year old one for 2k over budget.

It's a 911 not a tin of beans what's wrong with the fact its been for sale a few weeks?

Something like that a year ago would have sold much faster. The only point I was making is the market is a little soft and if the OP fancies a 3 series and is willing to spend some time hunting for the right one he may find something for 10/11k.

Did you not get your 335i at a fantastic price comported to other CIC 08 cars on the market?

In what way do you think a £10k 5 Series isn't a money pit but a £10k 3 Series is? :p

Meant from mine to a £10k 5 series, if I could afford £20k then a warranted 5xx would be my choice

Anyone who spends £20k on an E60 that doesnt say 'M5' on the back is barking mad. There isn't a sensible 5 Series buy at the £20k budget right now, IMHO of course. It's too much for an E60 and not enough for F10.
