***** The Official Fifa 12 Thread *****

Just got myself a network switcher so I can now have my Mac and XBOX at the same time so shall get back to UT.

Any tips for getting started? I've not played any of 12, only 11 and I bought a fair few packs to get started on that, is it best to do the same again? I've currently get 4K and no players as I sold all the bronzes and that!

Cheers.

I've hit a brick wall in terms of squad development, can't see any way to improve the squad meaningfully without spending huge amounts of coins which I don't have. Basically now I think I'd just have to play games and open the occasional pack hoping I get a big money player in order to fund further improvements.

Personally, I think the best method of getting started is to make a small cash injection, say £10, the chances are you'll probably get someone half decent to sell on at least. When I first began playing I spend £10 on packs and got lucky with a Tevez, Dzeko and a couple of others who were really expensive at the time, of course now they aren't worth anywhere near as much so it might be a bit harder for you.

Grinding game after game just to be able to afford a non-rare average Premier League player isn't my idea of fun though which is why I never will attempt to play the game that way again, I tried it during FIFA 10 and it was an absolute nightmare. Having to keep a constant eye on auctions in order to buy at the discard price is just a chore, even more so in FIFA 12 where the bids don't even automatically update.

Yeah, I'll probably buy maybe 1200 points or something.

What's the sort of rough guide for league/nation team prices this year?

Like last year Brazil was the cheapest, EPL pretty cheap etc. Can then gauge what I shall aim for.

Decided me and bbva dont mix so gonna sell all my team think I might try german ive done france and italy any ideas should get around 170k from sales

Could try a national side? Brazil can be fun. Argentina were great for me last year, not tried it this year.

I went for Ligue 1 as my first squad, the players were cheap even back then which was in the first week of UT going live, so I imagine there'll be quite a few bargains about especially as you're on 360 where the prices seem to have dropped even more than the PS3.

You could go with Brazilians but I don't think the very top tier are affordable right from the start, unless you get lucky with a pack. There's loads of fast players in the Brazilian league though, some real beasts that can be picked up very cheaply, quite a few 5* skill players as well, if that's your thing.

One thing I would say is avoid the EPL at the beginning as it's still very expensive compared to the other leagues, though I'm talking about the PS3 market, the 360 might be much cheaper.
