Some people think it's pefectly legal to run lights on a bike.

It's possible to jump without hitting traffic because sometimes pedestrians are still crossing late on the side that's just gone green so those cars can't accelerate off as quick as they could without the obstruction.

I hate when I'm walking over the road and a cyclist appears out of nowhere like a bat out of hell and I have to do some freaky disco moves to get out the way. All of that and it's a red light and a green man.

I'd shove the cyclist off his bike if I was a ped on a legitimate ped crossing and one tried to RLJ the thing.
I have little to no patience with people like that.

I see far more cars doing that than i do bikes...

I jump lights if it's not busy otherwise I just go on the pavement.

So what?

You sit on your fat *** on a nice warm car driving 3 times faster then I'm going while I have to cycle in the rain and snow, I sure as hell am not going to stand there for 5 minutes just to make you feel better.

I find red light jumpers amusing because they never get anywhere any faster I always end up overtaking them. Then they get annoyed when they can't get past me because I stop at a red light, I like it when it winds other cyclists up me stopping at red lights.

I see it happen sometimes with both, but it's not like in the 1000's that some members seem to imagine it is.

I don't mind jumping when there's literally no traffic on my side or the other (I cycle very late sometimes) or when I'm turning left.

London's traffic system is hell on earth to drive in, let alone cycle.

It's not that baaad :)

Well if you use the canal system you can zip through certain areas. However probably no good if you have a road bike.

I get the feeling that a lot of drivers find it more annoying that you don't go from 0-30 straight away leaving the lights on a bike.

That irritates them, I do it sometimes and it annoys them proper because they can't overtake you without breaking the speed limit or thrashing their crappy car.

It doesn't wind me up. Oh and great "look at me I can overtake people on my bike because I'm so awesome" post.

Has anyone mentioned pedestrians crossing when the red man is showing and the traffic lights are green yet?

You know, when they do that little jog which only gets them half way across and then they slow down and walk the rest of it?

Annoying for motorists and cyclists.

I've had three offs due to peds waiting at crossings; much more dangerous to cyclists in London than cars. Most of the time you get a load of folk waiting and you are cruising up at 20mph when one thinks "it's only a bike, I can make it". As soon as they step out everyone else follows like lemming and you are faced with a wall of people when your light is green.

Hard on the anchors to save everyone from harm and either you go over the bars or on your side. Hundreds of pounds in bike damage, kit damage, cuts an bruises and the crowd just melts away without even a second glance.

Arent people just lovely.

Amazing lol. Not looked back in here since this morning until now lol.

Lo and behold lol, 7 pages of nonsense from the anti-cycling brigade with the odd troll thrown in for good measure lol.

Until next months repeat of the whole exercise............lol
