Noob question, what is the little tiny padlock at the bottom right of the UI and there is also some sort of bar next to it to. What are they for?

Had a good few games last night on and off the TFU and Bronken servers. Nice lack of RPG spamming and I wasn't running around blindly quite so much which helped a ton. One or two 49126348792136RUS players though that were obviously hacking although I'm not sure which servers those were on.

Aimed 3 round burst fire is almost completely ineffective in the game i really wouldn't bother.

You nearly always lose in close combat with the burst rifles as it seems 50% of people are carbine engineers they will slaughter you.

That is why hardcore rocks... There they are actually effective and sometimes very accurate.

I cant get my 360 Wireless pad working, its just dosn't work, i turn it on before i launch the game and still nothing...

Anyone got any ideas?

Drivers? Xbox pad should be plug and play thow

Didn't they say it went to 150?

I've certainly ranked up a lot faster than in BC2 where after months I only up to rank 25 whereas after just a week and a bit I'm up to 11 on BF3 but that's fair enough if there are 3 times as many ranks to go through!

Drivers are upto date, note its the wireless one which does by all accounts need its drivers to work, not the wired one.

I really really hate showing up on the map for firing a loud weapon, now I understand the need to make a silencer useful in a gameplay perspective but it basically means when I open up on someone a thousand enemy troops hose me down seconds later almost every time.

Its impossible for me to relocate most of the time.
