I thought univeristies had stopped marking people down for improper grammer use
When I was at uni very few of the exchange students could speak proper english, let alone write it lol. Make it so annoying having to work with them because you'd have to translate their work into proper english.
Probably why we got extra marks lol
When one usually states "I could care less", they usually mean "I could not care less". [e.g. "I could care less about linguistics."]
In order for one to "care less" about a subject, they must first care about it somewhat. Saying "I could care less about ... " does indeed imply, nay dictate, that there is some degree of care.
It can easily be seen that, in absolute terms, there is no caring at the zero marker. It is impossible to care less than that amount.
Let us use a different example...
I could have less food.
I couldn't have less food.
Which statement above means "I have at least some food", and which means "I don't have any food"?

Would agree with this, at the moment the only time i'm feeling usefull as recon is basicly playing commander for my team with the MAV and spotting everything that moves.
Would be nice to be able to run round the map and get behind an ememy base and plant a radio beacon, but the semi auto 'battle rifles' are no where near as dangerous as an automatic weapon at medium range, and thats even un-silenced, silenced weapons for recon is just a waiting game of how many shots till they kill me, not once has it been usefull.
And if by some grace i do get in a good postion behind a base with a bolt action, i will have to get a headshot 100% of the time otherwise they will look around see my 8x scope and im dead before the next round is loaded, and dont say take acog, becuase trying to move around the map with a bolt action and acog needing headshots to kill anything first time (becuase you dont get a second) is frankly rage inducing.
But the real kicker for me though, is that i have two or three times now got behind an enemy base at caspian/firestorm/Kharg, with a bolt action+ long range scope and in a good postion, only to find no-one spawning on my raido becon, so i have to go alone to cap, with a bolt action and a 8x or 12x scope into CQB, so basicly have to use the pistol, and that doesn't end well. Only to find out after all that, after planting my raido beacon in a real sneaky spot, im spawning onto it in a parachute....from miles high...for everyone to see...and kill.....just seem utterly frivolous.
So i just use the MAV now, safe in the home base, and cruseing miles above the battlefield just spamming Q, and sometimes doing close air support for my squad when they respond to chat messages and can pull themselves away from xplsoions and predator machin gunz...
And i can still remember wake island as a sniper, and being the crux of my squads assault, after being parachuted from a black hawk cruseing 10,000ft up in the clouds to avoid the jets, and landing safely and opening up a front to invade the rest of wake island...good times indeed...:

I think the players are holding back the game more than anything, give it 3-6 months for the majority to learn their role in a team and its going to be excellent. Technologically its definitely one of the best multiplayer shooters ever produced.
My favourite so fare is the AEK-971 its a great overall rifle and hold its own at close range for longer ranges the An-94 Balkan is great still trying to learn how to use it tho.

I get a weird glitch with the An-94 too, if I revive someone the next time I ADS my foresight is missing?
A lot of people are having similar problems, someone in this thread may be aware of a fix for the same problem I'm having?

You hurt 2142 with your stupid ads that never really funded the fixing of the various problems with the game (don't fire titan guns it causes lag on the titan). Good game let down by bugs and lack of support.
BFBC2 - Good game in all honesty, not quite battlefield though was it.
The community was assured that the real formula would return with BF3 as it's a PC title first and foremost. BC2 should tie you guys over until it arrives..
