I use a 360 pad and find it very easy. A bit of a pain to set up the key bindings, as by default it has some funky choices, but good once its set up.

Gamepad is much easier to manoeuvre with than keyboard and mouse in the jets but i'm not a fan of it in the choppers. I haven't had a joystick since the Amstrad days so no clue if it's better than the controller.

I use a M&K and find it pretty easy, although I've never used a pad to compare it with. Which bits are you finding the most hard? It's probably just a personal preference thing.
 
going to try setting joystick up for choppers n jets.

for normal gunfights n tanks its all about keyboard + mouse

game is sooooo good!!
 
Tried with SSAO enabled, fps still pretty high according to afterburner, vram usage maxed at 1236mb, (1280mb cards). But every server i joined on the game was running very jerky, seems like bad lag.
 
Was playing on Bronken CQ earlier on Damavand, ended up in one of the tunnels with another guy waiting for the other team to show up. We were both standing there for a good 10 seconds waiting. So he's looking at me, I'm looking at him, and we're both checking the tunnels. Then I think "hold up, where's his blue name tag". I press Q on him and he turns red, so I wait until he turns around and stab him in the back :P

Did that a few times now where I see a guy but completely disregard the fact it might actually be an enemy and instead just presume it's not :)
 
I just unlocked something for my grenade launcher, Dart something or other, but I can't see anyway to equip it.
It's also not showing up on my battelog. :confused:
 
Why is the javelin so useless?

Just tried to kill a heavily smoking tank on smogsy's server from like 10m away with one, got a direct hit and it was fine?

The amount of damage they do doesn't seem to outweigh the amount of time you stand there trying to lock on with one to actually get to fire it in the first place.

need a recon in your squad with the SOFLAN and then its one hit kill

If you don't have one, just use the RPG.

I think tanks start smoking / on fire at 50% or under, and a Javelin only does 35 damage. But yeah, Javelin's are kinda rubbish. 3 shots before you need more ammo, takes a while to lock on and it's still not a guaranteed hit, does less damage than the regular RPG and can be negated by flares since you can't blind fire it.

Lol, the hint is in the name, Javelin, i'll hold my hands up tho, i wasn't doing this either, get the lock then aim up in the air and launch it in the air like you would throwing a javelin.

Time to re-equip it and have some fun. :)

this is me all the time im constantly shooting people to see if they are on my team..

i cant tell the difference between the squad colour and the hostile colour :( seems loads of people are complaining about it but i guess dice dont give a crap about the people with colour blind issues :mad:

the neutral flag colour and the captured colour is really hard to me to distinguish aswell
