Maybe a punch in the **** while we're at it, just to assert one's masculinity?I would do this, only, rather than purchase her diamonds, point to the door and tell her she is free to leave. Call her bluff. Compromise is failure. There are over 3.5 billion women on the planet, I doubt she is special.
Trading it in.So have you sold the Z then?
It depends what you want out of the car. Yes, the petrol engine is lighter, more powerful and probably more reliable and for driving in an enthusiastic manner it is absolutely the superior engine. I've kind of lost interest in driving. I wouldn't bother with it if I didn't need to get to work. I'm now officially a boring git and from a boring git point of view, I prefer how the diesel engine drives.
Can you point me to any info on retrofitting xenon lights if it's possible? Thanks.

Seems like a strange thing to do when presumably you'll be moving to the US within what, a year at most at which point insread of messing around with silly diesels you can have a proper refined drive of a big V8 mated to an autobox and waft around to your hearts content.![]()
I'd love to be over there right now but a one trick pony like me hasn't much chance of employment over there right now!Or an Escalade EXT
Fair enough then, surprised it's so long but maybe it's more that we didn't hang about![]()
...if you want to waft in comfort and refinement ...why would you buy a truck!
Have you ever been in one? ...because they drive like ...well like a truck, they are not particularly refined, the steering is shockingly bad, the quality of the interior is poor and the rear is light and frisky unless you put something heavy on the flatbed. If you understand their shortcomings and just want a big V8 truck ...like I do, then fine, but if you think it's going to be a refined waft with a high field of view, think again ...you'll need a decent SUV for that not a truck.
Which is a fair point but take it from me - there is no 'ideal' time to uproot and change countries, any way you work it, it's going to cost a bunch of money and unless you get lucky, you're going to take a few steps backwards career-wise. But also there are plenty of jobs still around if you are prepared to be open-minded and do something new - I only say this as we had planned financially for me to move about 6 months later than I did but our visa process was very quick (6 months start to finish, we planned on a year) - and despite us being worse off financially I wouldn't swap being over here 6 months earlier for anything - once your visa is approved it becomes very difficult to justify staying apart.I'd love to be over there right now but a one trick pony like me hasn't much chance of employment over there right now!

You're preaching to the choir. My requirements will change once over there.
I think this thread has run it's course. Thanks for the input everyone.
