Muslims Against Crusades to be banned from midnight

No surprise as to why TM did this.. she's bent over a barrel for these immigration accusations so she had to do something to appease the public.

One thing I do detest about these particular extremist groups is they proclaim their hatred for the country, government and the people of it, yet they'll happily claim benefits from them, if you want to make a point, at least stick by it in all elements..

I don't really support this, it's kind of infringing on their right to protest. I dislike the group but I don't think groups should be banned just because they are controversial.

Agreed, as much as I dislike what they stand for that is democracy. I dislike the EDL even more. It's extremely hypocritical to slander these bigots but tolerate some other bigots purely on grounds of nation, creed or colour. In fact, it's racist. Very racist. I think they should be allowed to say what they like, who takes them seriously anyway. I dislike them both, but I'd never want them to banned because if you start banning people from saying and protesting, who's to say what's next?

No, but do you think it will stop them doing it?

It didn't stop the PIRA or the UFF, UDA etc.

Another group will probably spring up and carry on where they left off and we'll ban them again. Their abhorrent actions have no place in our society. We’ll keep doing it until we wear them all out.

And banning MAC changes that, yes?

YES THIS

No its stops them from having a voice and spurting rubbish about the British way of life, all these people want is altercation, they want a war, they want "kafir" to be wiped out.

Most British people just want to get on with life in this country and enjoying what little time they have on this planet.

Is that you Nick Clegg?

Fella there's protesting and there's burning poppys and flags. Sing dance and wave placards all they like but you start to deface national symbols that have meaning to people and your intentionaly crossing a line..

As has been mentioned though, it's a very short term answer, a new name will see them back "protesting" :(

I don't find offensive that they're burning poppies or the flag. I've lived in England all my life and have family in the Army and had relative die in both wars. I sometimes don't wear a poppy. I chose to remember the dead every time I vote, when war is discussed and I speak out against it. I don't personally see how wearing a poppy is equality for the dead and strife of war, something which I personally don't know anything about. I don't support any war, and that's how I find solace of mourning for the death of our service men/women. But that's just me, different things offend different people. Tolerance man.

I totally agree, their actions are abhorrent, but banning them doesn't change a thing.

If anything this is a propaganda field day for MAC.

what a load of rubbish

banning a group isnt going to change their opinions or actions

the only answer is to not give mentalists like this press coverage

certainly trying to draw attention away from herself I would say

I take exactly the opposite view. They burn poppy's and write their slogans to provoke a reaction right in front of the service men and women.

If they hate Britians 'Muslim crusade', when not get lost out of here. I despise any person who wishes death on our soldiers.

In my opinion I'm glad it's been banned (not that it will make a difference) as I personally look at armistice day as a point to remember the individuals that have suffered & lost their life regardless of religion it's out of respect for them, not the political connotations behind the battles.

If people want to make a stand against political policies go ahead, just for me, not on this day.

Also to stir things up a bit....do you think this was the appropriate level of action?

Good riddence, however Choudary and his cronies will simply change it's name as they have done several times before.

The chap is a fool who gets far too much airtime and the sooner he is simply ignored the better.

Which should make people think about the viability of making "political" groups illegal. It pops up with something else next week, and it takes the state another lengthy period of time to close that down.

Stopping what could be classed as total war may help stem this problem. IF we don't, it's always going to exist.
