I was the gunner in the attack heli last night, we took some damage we were heading out to sea popping flares.. thought we'd be OK, as I'd disabled the enemy heli, then I notice the "engine rpm" warning and it all goes sideways...

Got out of there just in time, but was so far out to sea I just had to suicide :(

Server has climbed from 24000th to 2800th server rankings in a mere 6 days!. Aim is to go for 1th, will it be possible? Maybe we will have to see. Anyway Dont forget to come on the weekend :D. at this current state of things i will have to plan on getting a other server soon.

What you think would be best Full Rush or Mixed Modes?

Full Rush. Once people clock on to how many points you can get from it, they want to play it. That's _all_ I play on the Xbox :)

Sadly that wont happen with a 32 man server. Our first Normal rush server was full for 5 days straight and got up to 600th. For it to climb fast you a 64man and need it full all day and night.
 
To add, I played for a solid 2hrs last night and didn't get any hiccups, crashing or glitching.

I didn't even think Origin sucked as much as I've read. It would be nice to launch direct from the webpage / steam, but it doesn't bother me :eek:

Any OcUK platoons going?

not as such no, you can use the usual in game type chat, or form a party in battlelog and viop from there.

alternatively join a 3rd party voip app that is linked to the server you play on if they have one.
 
Just started hitting the co-op last night and got to the 5th level where you're a sniper team trying to rescue hostages.

We kept getting to the bit where you get into the apartment overlooking the river and have to snipe the enemies. However, it kept saying the hostages were killed and the mission failed. It may have just been the time of night and tiredness, but we couldn't work out wtf we were meant to be doing here. Are there certain enemies you need to take out first? Where are they?

There's two buses with each containing three terrorists. Allocate a bus to each player and just take them out on the flashbang cue.

ITs hard at the beginning, becuase every one else has better gear than you. Just grind it out and your start unlocking.

it helps to pick one class, grind the same gun for a while an use that continually to unlock more stuff for it.

By the time you've got 100 kills for it and your first service star, you've got loads of scopes / attachments.
 
First BF3 (tm) moment occurred yesterday:

- Flying in Jet and taking a load of MG/AA fire, so I had to bail
- Map is Operation Firestorm and I was near Capture Point E (closest to enemy base)
- I bailed and as I started dropping and deployed chute, noticed an enemy Mosquito chopper hovering over the sea and firing from distance
- Pulled out SMAW (Engie kit) and while parachuting down, fired and hit the bugger, disabling his vehicle. It was a medium range shot, but damn I was holding my breath for the missile to connect :D
- The heli goes down, pilot bails and swims to ladder and climbs up
- He does not see me, and I swim after him, climb out and stabby-stabby!

Press Q and the enemies show up with a triangle above their head. Q is your friend :D
 
You mean Kharg Island? Had something similar but not as epic the other day, was in Squark's scout chopper when another one appeared and started shooting at us, so I pulled out my SMAW and fired out the side door straight into the cockpit, just like you I was holding my breath as I saw his chopper continue sideways into my rocket.

What would be good, is when the pilot jumps out, you have the opportunity to either get in the pilots seat, or the pilot shouts 'bail!' or something relating to getting out of the aircraft, tank etc, so whoever else is in that vehicle with them knows what's going on.

The 'bail!' shout would be like throwing ammo to a teammate, it automatically get's said when the pilot ejects.

I don't touch the aircraft, but you can swap seats easily enough in the ground vehicles. Does that not work in a chopper? (F1, F2 etc.) I remember it used to in Bf2, for moving between side guns at least.

people cant play the game even when its noob adapted and friendly?
f2000 is only good if you stand still, aek is way better and then G3 totally will own you due to the dmg it does.
when you see people run with G3 everyone will think you need to nerf it.

people just tend to whine due to being owned.

usaf12 I use currently with IR and frag12 ammo, totally is the most fun ever.
its the most fun weapon in game.

IR is fine.
No issue with it either way.
But I dont sit or lie down behind rocks to kill people that run past me either...
