Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Well i decided to change to mixed large conquest and rush and seems to attract a lot more attention. If there is room come jump on, if your looking for a decent server! :)

It's 1 round Conquest, 1 Round Rush then rinse and repeat with all mixed up maps at the moment so you never get the same one twice in a row.

I mainly play caspian, firestorm and kharg and sometimes grand bazaar and tehran highway.

I have hardly touched the rest of the maps as they didn't appeal to me.

Been playing a lot this evening on Smogsy's server, with a few upgrades and 32 men on the server i'm doing loads better. Even getting a positive kd a couple of times lol.
 
Starting to get the hang of it a little bit better now. Still struggle with where i am and where to go due to crap map and a compass where you have to really look to see what its saying (miss mohaa compass map kinda system). But generally i just try to go to them orange markers with someone if i can and try do some damage. Generally i do about 3-6 kills with similar deaths, depending on map it could be 2 kills 15 deaths tho like them small maps.

Support type im running atm got a new gun and i think im level 4 with about 4k or so to get till im level 5.

I am always open to changing my opinion based on experiences of playing:) I never disliked the game at all, I just found it a tad unbalanced mainly due to the unlocking which favours people who play it more and unbalances the game too much imo and the maps(i still don't like a few of them, but some have grown on me)


It can still get very frustrating though, the unlocks are ridiculous and i do think they are generally a really bad thing in shooters but if you work through it you can start to hold your own against the massively overpowered unlocks. I still rage when i see people with much more powerful weapons/unlocks. And there is no point even trying to fly as i don't have any unlocks for it!


Playing with more teamwork and slightly adapting my playstyle has helped me to enjoy the game a lot more.
It has also helped that i tweaked it a bit to get much better FPS as well, I was happy with around 30:eek: but now i have tweaked it a bit to get around 50-60 most of the time;)
Also 32-player servers are MUCH better than 64!
 
Well i enjoyed tonight on smogsys server. Learnt the maps on the rotation pretty well. Got loads of weapon upgrades but am going to stick with 3.4 magno scope, foregrip and laser sight. Just seems a nice combo until i get something better to replace the laser sight, if the rds uses that slot i'll whack it in it's place when i get there.
 
Wonder if the Javelin will get an upgrade soon, currently it has 2 rockets and seems to do a minimal amount of damage. No real point to using it at present as the smaw has about 5 rounds with it.
 
Played on a ocuk rush server duno if any of you were on like as i didnt notice the names much but was kinda fun even tho i had no idea what im doing i just follow ppl and kill if i can. :p
