If you paid a tenner for these, would you sell them!?

A 'sample sale', no boxes, unfeasibly cheap, buy as many as you can afford? Why does this seem so dodgy? What possible reason would a company like Converse have to sell them so cheap to people they know are simply going direct to Ebay to undermine and undercut the official distribution channels?

I work for an agency who're in charge of brand distribution, our showrooms also happen to be in the same block as Superdry and Bench (Ardwick Green, Manchester for what it matters). When it's end of season, we sell off all of our old samples. When there's sometimes 50 odd items in a seasons range it's easy enough to make a tidy profit. With one brand we actually sell ex-samples for £20 per pair, which when we're given them for free isn't something you can moan at!

I can also tell you that, especially with Superdry, the lads will pop in and let us know they're selling off their samples when it's end of season. It's commonplace. Otherwise you're just left with a tonne of old season samples which are absolutely no use to us whatsoever.

If you read my post you would!

Also got these ones. Worth £115 apparently! I've decided they are vile :p

Horrible looking imo.

Hideous! I've never liked Converse shoes but to everyone has different tastes. Now go make your money back (plus some) on those other pairs!

Loads? Doubtful. I have good feedback on ebay so nobody is going to challenge me. Either way, I'm going to make a profit by a large margin.

An ex-flatmate used to collect trainers and the fact that they were pristine and boxed did add some of the value, I don't know how much difference it makes in value terms and quite possibly if people aren't buying to collect it matters less but it might be something you should mention in your advert presuming you do sell.

For the little it matters I'd sell all of them apart from possibly the bottom two on the right in the picture of 8 but I'm not a great fan of Converse trainers in general and my feet aren't size 9. If you like them though they're definitely a bargain.
