*** The Elder Scrolls 5 - Skyrim Official Thread ***

The Sparks spell tome I got right at the very beginning, I think it was locked in one of the jail cells in the keep. But that's no use to you now. :D

Just been reading on Reddit that leveling smithing too much can cause the mobs to spawn at a much higher level... Not sure how valid this is though, might just be something to take into consideration. I'm going to hold off smithing for a bit now.

Well I'm 89 in Smithing and I haven't noticed that.

Do you think I may regret not putting any points towards magic? I'm going for a tank route, heavy armor and 2 Handed.

Currently got 31 points in Heavy armor and 49 points in 2 Handed. Level 11.

What else should I start to expand on?

Cheers

So I'm hearing issues requiring the game to be patched?

I don't have a PC at the moment, and I'm not really wanting to spend a lot of money building a new one.

How well does it play on the PS3? What are the load times like if anyone knows, compared to the PC version?

Is the PS3 slim loud when running this game over extended periods? These were the two main issues I had with the Xbox 360, it was noisy and took ages to load games/levels, in my own personal views compared to my PC at the time.

Gfx I'm not too fussed about really.

Cheers.

If I didn't have my trusty healing spell, I wouldn't have got anywhere on this game. Most helpful thing there is.

Tom, you can always start using magic and get the points up for that. I'm nearly 60 in destruction and over 30 for the other magic categories, yet last night I went two-handed for a change and got it to over 25, despite that previously being one of my weakest. I don't think it really matters if you suddenly change.

Well I spent 10 hours making a warrior re rolled and now a mage, it's fun. I'm like level 8 and can easily solo a dragon. I have a question about dragons below....

When you kill a dragon you get their soul... Then what? I was wondering around, found a dragon and killed it got it's soul but didn't get a new shout?

From what I've read and seen on videos, there seem to be two stages to getting dragon shouts.

1) You have to find one of those walls that you learn the shout from.
2) You need to then kill a dragon, get its soul to be able to unlock the shouts.

But I haven't played the game yet, but that's what I think happens.

Mmm ok cool mate thanks, wonder if it makes a difference what order you do it in.
