How do some players do so well with the M249? It sprays all over the place when i try it. The recoil is too much. Tried it on Tehran Highway, got raped, went back to A-91 and finished out MVP next game.

Once IRNV has been nerfed, I would like to go back to playing this game as a strategic player trying to guess enemy locations and using different routes to try to take them out. This would give me a lot more pleasure and intensity/suspense as opposed to using IRNV, finding enemy locations with ease and just shooting at them. This makes it 'not so challenging'.

Atm I also have no choice but to carry on using IRNV as everyone seems to be using it. The moment I use regulalr scopes, I become an easy picking. :(

+1

I unlocked the IRNV for my M416 and M4249, talk about overpowered, I can see why everyone uses them even for the low scope range :p

Im starting to get better with the jets, a good pilot will always down me, but if I have the element of suprise I tend to make it count ;)
Same can't be said for choppers though, with planes I tend to dive bomb then head for the map ceiling to avoid ground lock ons, my problem with choppers is that unless I know exactually where the lock on's coming from, I don't know how to hide/avoid it. It also seems to take a complete salvo of rockets to just disable a tank, rather then destroy it.

I've been having a lot of fun with C4, thanks to the handy "guide" vids in this thread, but I can't seem to get the hang on jihad attacks, I slammed a loaded jeep right up the ass of a LAV, detonated it and didn't even make a scratch.

Really annoys me when people don't spot jets and I get jumped by surprise. When I'm on the ground I spot every aircraft I can.

You need to team up with a good gunner, unlike in BC2, the gunner absolutely owns tanks, especially hitting in the rear armour.

I just logged into origin to play BF3 and this message came up:

"Get a 30% off Origin coupon for your next purchase when you buy Battlefield 3 from Origin. Limited Time offer."

Did any of you got this message?

Hope they don't nerfe IRNV..i think it is good and its not like you get as a 1st unlock.
You have to earn.. 100kills

I doubt they will

go and read the Battlelog forums and hardly anybody mentions it. It appears to be only the people on this forum that think its cheating.

I don't subscribe to that view - its nicely balanced with certain drawbacks. Yes it enables you to see people you wouldn't otherwise see, but it has limited range in that its only 1 x magnification. It also can't be used to snipe with, as beyond a certain distance everything just appears to be a green fog.

It also greatly reduces your peripheral vision when using it up close.
