Dissapointing that the companions don't have anything interesting to say, any backstory or actual 'character'. One of things that makes games like Baldurs Gate and Mass Effect is your companions, and I do feel like they've missed a bit of a trick there.
Obviously I'm not expecting them to have some unique comment about every area/monster, but giving them a couple of unique quests each (track down old family member, avenge dead spouse etc) and chucking a few poignent chats in here and there would add a lot, IMO.
I realised this as I trudged up the 7000 steps, and "Lydia" said nothing. I keep forgetting she's there, might as well replace her with a model of a pack mule considering thats all I use her for (and she's about as useful in a fight).

Tell me about it! I've only played a couple of hours, mainly to familiarise myself with the interface before I start again, but I must say it is actually way better than I expected.I thought BF3 was going to be GOTY.. how wrong I was..
Bethesda nailed this, there is very little lineage to the game, nothing feels like its been recycled.
I'm having a blast to say the least!
Had a slight disappointment with the sneaking. I had to retrieve evidence from a house (in Whiterun, i'm sure most of you know the quest). Anyway, I had to break in to a room to get the documents but there was a lady standing outside the door, so i waited, did other things etc, but she was always standing there. In the end i picked the lock in a split-second when i was hidden, but it wasn't great. Would have been nice if everyone in the house had gone to bed, i thought they were supposed to have routines.
Probably just am AI glitch anyway.
Oh and I love BF£ and was really getting in to it, but i haven't touched it since this came out!
Anyone had a visist from the brotherhood yet? That was quite fun in an evil way![]()
