Quick question- how do I know if my copy of BF3 is the limited edition one? I ordered it from Tesco Entertainment but the box cover doesn't have 'limited edition' on it despite my order confirmation saying I ordered the limited edition.

There is only one product key (I noticed some people saying they have two keys) but two DVD's....

It's just installing now...looking forward to it :)

You don't have the limited edition then

It has it in big words underneath battlefield 3

I doubt you will be able to get a copy now as they were pre order only.

Time to ask tesco for a refund or compensation ...

So I have unlocked the mortar, its deployed and I'm plonking rounds into the distance.

I want to move somewhere else, how do I get off it?! Button mashing as I see the enemy coming towards me isn't so great :S

And does it stay deployed? Can I use it again later?

E to get off, R to pick it up. Will stay where you left it until you die if you don't pick it up.

Yeah limited edition is written on the box so pretty easy to know. Even the discs have Limited Edition on them.

Cheers guys. That's really annoying as they still have it on their site.

I shall email them and see where I get

Well after getting that rash refund, over a week ago, (Because my stats got reset on a snide server.) I couldn't resist rebuying this. Luckily I was able to carry on with my same soldier from battlelog, albiet with all the unlocks wiped clean from that dodgy server, hopefully they will unlock again.
Loving the few games I have played since; everything seems well less hectic and games seem a lot calmer. Bit of a weird observation and I don't mean there's just less numbers playing. a lot more enjoyable gameplay.

Big problem now though, game played perfectly for me before, though now I am getting huge lag spikes whenever I scope, it happens virtually everytime and is flippin annoying. The only thing that comes to mind, is that some one said on here they actually lowered their overclock to get smoother play and I have upped mine slightly to winter clocks. Infact I'll try lowering that now.

Pretty certain that was the worst single player campaign i've ever played

It really was bad, the bc2 sp was much better, you weren't funnelled down corridors as much and you could use destruction to get through buildings. The destruction in BF3 sp campaign may as well have been disabled. Quick time event after quick time event, obvious spawning enemies. Bah.

I agree that BC2 single player was way more lively and adventurous. It felt more engaging and kept the interest span right till the end.

problem is, COD sells 6 million copies on launch day with a SP like this. So DICE assume that this is what the consumer wants from a single player game.

The more i play this mp the more annoying its gettting. Im flying a viper, it gets taken down to 30% health, i land it to repair, i get out, i instantly die with the "bad luck" tag appearing. Anyone care to even attempt to explain that?

Also its good to see after prone got reintoduced it still suffers from the issues it does in other games, snipers laying on rocks pointed at the sky (literally laying almost vertical) yet from their pov theyre looking straight ahead.

Problem is it felt even shallower than it did in the cod campaigns, you don't feel any attachment to any of the characters you control, even with cod 4 i found myself enjoying the characters and wanting to see what happened next. In BF3 they might as well be named drone 1 and drone 2, just very shallow feeling. Even bc2 had better character interaction and a far better sp campaign, just seems they went for flash over substance for the sp in this.
