Err you do know that the monsters level up as you do, and if you have gone up that many levels just by crafting and not leveling your combat skills you are going to get completely owned.

Basically, don't level up crafting constantly.
 
For the grey-born v Battle Born mission, how do you rescue the guy from the keep? Do you have to fight your way through or is there a way to get him out without violance?

I am just doing that atm, i imagine the way it is progressing, if you join the Legion you can have him released?

I did join the Legion. Even went there in full Legion gear. Made no difference. Maybe theres someone in the Legion we can talk to to get him released

Honestly how the hell would you ever guess that! I love the game and want to have its babies, but whoever designed the UI was a prat :mad:
 
Ok, having a stupid moment, but a couple of things:

How to train Alchemy/Enchanting - system seems different to Oblivion - Feel free to just point me to the NPC's, who can help tell me about all of this.
Smithing - bit confused, firstly how do I make ores into ingots, and secondly, what's the best way to obtain smithing parts? Is it spelunking, or can I mine bits?

God knows what perks I'm going to focus on... I WANT THEM ALL!

Thanks! I never get chance to read the loading screens they load too quick! Wait, that's not a bad thing though. Hmm, or is it.. lol.
 
UI is giving me a bad head, no idea what they were thinking. What happened to being abl to see your character when you swap items on the inventory screen.
 
I really enjoyed Oblivion when it was released. Especially the Thieves and Dark Brotherhood missions. Is Skyrim as good, if not better? I'm undecided whether or not to part with my dosh :D

its fine , if you read up on the leveling system and how monsters work youd know going from 9-16 is nothing, plus im pure magic which has been leveled up consistantly as iv had to do quests/kill dragons for money.

you can skill up whatever you want constantly with little effect to the real world, thats the point of the new system.

I succumbed in the end and what a joy everything on max and my old 5850+q9650 its making short work of it. Seems so smooth and better than oblivion.

We not need a new game for some time i reckon feels a lot bigger than oblivion and I have only played for 3hrs
