How wide are people imagining these ravines to be? 20 blocks seems kind of..not wide enough for a natural ravine to me.

Ravines in 1.8 were only like 15 blocks wide at best, and i'd know....i built my house across one

I'd guess though with modding tools you could just make a whole lot of empty space and then copy over half the ravine to each side?

well why not have 2 ravines in place of 9 and the river running through to each side
so the to lakes marked with 9 are ravines and then the top lake stays

That is what I had in mind Then the top water would flow into both ravines

Well I'd dare say it would take 1,000s of seed attempts to get two ravines running parallel

Sure if people would actually make it without moaning which we all know isn't going to happen

we are not going to cheat the whole spawn area.
putting 2 ravines in place is hardly game breaking.
the rest of the work will have to be done by community.

Just a shame you can't have water or lava running under it, which spoils the point of the bridge.

it did actually work with lava underneath, the only problem is that once i pressed the reset, the lava for a fraction of a second hit the redstone that is visible. i could easily do it if i move some stuff about. was just getting lazy with it >.<

and i do always hope that more components will come out, but i think that might spoil the simplicity and creativity! : P

How did lava work with the sand dropping?
Yeah the simplicity and therefore creativity is great. But I think the balance isn't there yet. Need isome more components to make some things possible.

How did lava work with the sand dropping?

The sand just went through the lava - if you make the lava at least 2 deep in all places then the sand will just hit the bottom - which when it is removed will refill with lava again. I didn't even see the lava change shape xD.
