The Goodyears have the most test victories. It's what I'm going for but my decision is made easier by the lack of CS5 in my size.

http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk are coming out very competitive at the moment. Voucher code VC5GOO gives 5% off Goodyear tyres. In my size this takes them to £10 more than Camskill, but the price includes fitting.

Prob being thick but its coming in cheaper fitted than camskill, however i cannot find where you put in the voucher code :)

Guys

Also I can’t wind my mirrors in, they look like they will swivel up however I’m led to believe this was an option when new and unless there some mega secret button then i cannot find it. Can a keen BMW enthusiast clarify please

Anyone shed some light on this ? :)

If the car has electric folding mirrors it will have a button where the mirror controls are.

Cool thought so, im guessing theres no way of pulling them up manually ?. I did give it a bit of a pull but felt like i was going to break it :p

So nearly covered 1000 miles in the 330CD, everything seems spot on and I’m really pleased however i have noticed a small niggle.

This has only happened twice since i collected the car but when I’m slowing down to stop at say some traffic lights the engine has cut out. I have then just restarted and it’s been perfectly fine. Anyone got any ideas of what that may be ?

On another note my dad has just purchased a 59 335D and wants to have it mapped, anyone got a recommendation of the best people to speak too ?

That doesn't sound like a small niggle to me. You are going to have to get the car checked for fault codes as a first call as there are numerous things it could be. Faulty injectors or a faulty fuel pump can both cause the engine to cut out.

Did you take out the BMW warranty in the end? If so just take it to a BMW dealer and let them figure it out :D

DON'T TAKE IT TO THE DEALER IF YOU HAVE THE WARRANTY YET!

You need to get every fault code cleared, you don't want the code to back track to the previous owner to before you had your warranty taken out, otherwise the warranty won't cover the issue.

Could be crank sensor, control units, injectors, pumps, fuel filter/contaminated fuel..

His warranty has not started yet anyway as they take effect a month later.

Ah I see.

The code could still be first logged before now though.

Actually, get your codes cleared, and also reset all the adaptions, then have a drive around and see whats is what.

You will get a more accurate code/diagnostic test schedule that way.

How can i get my codes cleared :)

Local garage be able to do this with there diag machine ?

Someone who has :

Autologic ( Best and closest to the dealer software )
DIS ( Bmw dealer software )
BMW scanner 1.4
INPA (( only if they know what they are doing with it ) bmw factory software )

All indys should have one of the above.
