For the 100000000000000000000000000000000000th time ....
Skyrim uses a hell of a lot of compression
So much in fact that the sounds cackle and tear unless you turn them down in sound properties to 16 bit / 48k hz.

I assume that Skyrim would be best to get on PC though? £35 seems a bit steep for a game I can't sell after completion but from what I have read it's worth it.
There are games that look much much better and require significantly less hardware to achieve it.
There are some clear technical problems here than people are letting on and are so keen to overlook in their reviews particularly with the freezing/crashing. Will continue to play this tonight after having an hours tweaking in the graphics settings.
says 4.5gb when I activated the code on steam
Anyone else finding magic underpowered compared to oblivion and morrowind? Level 36 yet magic seems very poor considering destruction is one of my primary trees.
Im halfway through it now, is it ok to just go back and attempt this when im about level 20? Has anyone finished that quest yet? what level were you?
Bonechill Passage is is a cave located southwest of Helgen. It leads to Ancient's Ascent.
Some users have been experiencing crashes soon after entering Bonechill Passage. The issue can be worked around by playing in windowed mode while inside the cave
It means how many times you can use the weapon (sword strike, or fire arrow from a bow) before it runs out of magic and needs to be recharged. The less effective magic you use (slider to the left) the more charges you get.
When you've used your enchanted weapon for a while, it'll eventually run of out charges, and just do it's default damage without the magical effect. You can recharge your magic weapons using a soul gem, but it must be filled with a soul (gems that have "common" or "grand" etc in brackets to the right of the gem's name have a soul in them.)
I've never liked this system much.
Skills are just a required number for unlocking perks in their tree, they don't do anything other than that.Cheers.
Does anyone know what training a certain skill actually does? I just went to the trainer for Illusion spells at the college in winterhold and trained in illusion 1/5 for 260 gold but not sure what benefit that gave me?

If its the same as the one from morrowind and oblivion, its a reusable soul gem of the highest standard. Can trap anything in it and reuse it again after making an enchant or recharging a weapon ect.
Has anyone had a stray dog randomly start following them? I've heard about the annoying dog but that's for a quest right? I was just out in the wilderness when he killed some wolves for me and started following.
That's what I thought, but I can't seem to fill it. I had a bow that filled a soul gem on kill, and I did absorb a few souls with it but only to regular soul gems. The azura's star has been empty since I've had it and I can't figure out how to fill it.
