The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Ok, some people might think this is cheating, but I feel it's quite a good solution.

Being still a relatively low level, with lowish equipment, running into frost dragons/ frost trolls can be challenging to say the least.

Is it only me that saves before a big fight, tries it a good few times on the normal difficulty, then if I can't do it downgrade the difficulty to a lower level, defeat said beastie, and then put it back to the original difficulty? It seems to me like a logical way, once you've exhausted other options?

I've been playing on Master where possible but some fights are just ridiculous. I've settled for Expert mostly now - if I'm really getting my ass handed to me I downgrade again to get past it.

(playing as destruction/archery/sneak/restoration)

Has anyone had a stray dog randomly start following them? I've heard about the annoying dog but that's for a quest right? I was just out in the wilderness when he killed some wolves for me and started following.
Yup, I had him but be careful you don't let him die. That happened to me and I couldn't get any other followers to come because I already had a follower, albeit a dead dog who's body disappeared. Had to restart my game.
