Ok, been reading my guide book re: housecarls.

They can not be killed by enemies, traps etc. They will appear to die, but will come back to life or return later on. However, they can be killed permanently by yourself. If you issue the deathly blow/spell and they die, that's it!

Shame, I must have killed Lydia myself in a dungeon. I can't go back to an old save now as it would take me back hours. So will need to find another.

I also can't see a ressurection spell, other than a 60 secs temp. Which is no good really.

I accidentally killed Lydia to, their is no way to get her back?

Also I got married but I don't know where my wife went? :p

Ok just kitted out my house in whiterun, prob a waste of gold.

But the bed that is owned by me is in the small room, how do I own the big bed in the main bedroom?

I have slept in it and it doesn't register as me owning the bed.

I just seem some amazing vids on youtube of guys being able to turn in to werewolves, looks amazing and its set up like a a power, looks so good Im going to try this tonight if I get a chance

Its very easy to be one and its something you can use when you want ie it doesnt just happen. You dont get any sleep bonuses, but you are 100% resistant to disease, so no vampwolfs or werepires for you.

Had a real lol moment last night, got attacked by a dragon who decided to focus on some innocent giants nearby.

The giants knacked the dragon pretty quickly and soon chased after me, after some careful manoeuvering and kiting i managed to use my shout to throw the giants off a cliff.

:D

Yes, so now I have the first dragon shout activated. But it seems to be quite useless. Ain't no falling or pushing away going on here. :(

My Lydia fell off a steep drop, silly bint. Instant death. Couldn't be bothered re-loading.

I was on the understanding that this shouldn't kill her. Maybe try the place you got her in Whiterun, or the house you buy in Whiterun? Unless you dealt the killing blow, she's alive.

Saying that, I have heard tales of companions getting stuck on scenery, so maybe she needs a shove!

There's also lots of companions according to the guide, so don't fret too much. Some are free, via quests, others you can rent. I guess there's about 50 in total.

I am currently questing for a companion, because so far I have been lucky(?) And not been bothered by dragons (seen plenty flying overhead though), and I will need the help when it hits the fan!

Don't think of it as usable right now. It's just a quest.

Later on, it becomes comically powerful.

The thing with ES games is, you can't expect the best stuff in the first few hours. The good stuff will start rolling in eventually.

Enjoy exploring in the mean time.

Quick question;

I'm part of Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild, can I not have both armours? I have the DB one and have joined TG and just got set some more quests after the initial ones and haven't got it :(?

With regards to actually joining them, no, it's not required to get in. Does it benefit people that are sneaking a lot, I'd say so yes. It's an Assassins guild essentially so sneaking helps but I wouldn't say is essential tbh :)

Finished Mage quest tonight... One of the fights you have to do took me about a hour of loading and failing -.- All done though so back on to the main story! Time to see those Greybeards lol I'm level 14 now -.-

If its the one I'm thinking, just storm in with the entry level lightning spell (sparks?) and you drain all his mana really quickly, then you take 0 damage and he dies fast.

So, uninstalled the game from my 360 drive and cleared system cache.

Load the game back up, cringe at how loud the spin up is (can't remember the last time I played a game that wasn't installed!).

However, 5 mins into the game, it's obvious as daylight in terms of textures, my Skyforge Steel one handed axes have leather around the grips? They have boilts? WHAT IS THIS TRICKERY!!! Haha, but yea, some textures are 10 times better, the load in is slightly slower but wow. What a **** up by Bethesda, hope they release a patch soon as I can't stand the spinning up of the disk :(
