I hate this sodding flashlight.
How on earth are flashlights in this game more blinding than the ruddy Sun. Your 15m away from a guy and your whole screen goes bright white.
Im all for different unlocks but when they are quite frankly ridiculous and nothing like real life, it's a pain. I might just walk around with the RPG out all the time to take these nobbers on.

i've downloaded some unified xonar drivers (see thread in sound city for links/instructions)
using 8 channels in and 5.1 audio out (roccat kave 5.1), with these drivers they have fixed the GX bug so you won't get the god awful echoing with it enabled
Looks fine really...probably just a good player.
Yes one of the things that really gets my goat up is that. I mean your with a squad and see one guy is covering an area and so go out and he has totally missed someone. Hard to describe and you said it better, though basically hate not being able to rely on team mates to some extent.
Maybe I am as blatently blind and miss people myself.
Apart from those jammy buggers who just happen to line up with a team mate who is on the other side of the map, such that his blue/green icon appears just over his head. This has happened to me more than once.
finally after three weeks i think i have got this game working properly in 3 monitor eyefinity mode.
For those that don't know eyefinity has been troubled by various bugs ranging.
primarily to do with the HUD not displaying friend or foe in the right place, but also some other issues too.
one partial fix was to run it in lower than native res, which for some reason sorted out the hud, but obviously didn't look as good.
after a few failed attempts at following internet advice i finally tried something that worked and now i can run full res with the hud working.
Still got the overbright lights but everything else is looking good now.
new problem, graphics card is struggling
might have to go crossfire.
anyone else running triple monitors?

I have 3 monitors but untill the bug with the HUD/bright light is fixed im not bothering with it. Played 1 map with it on and it looked decent but stood there for 2 minutes shooting my own team going "WTF why arnt they dieing?!?!?"
LOL that catches me out a lot, on BFBC2 i knifed a team mate because of the opposite as a red was lined up.
The server can set if enemy names show up or not in BF3.
who is good (and cheap) to get a code ? would prefer the special edition if i can . gmg is £33 withough the pack .
Got mine from direct2play, russian key, standard version, you need to download the English language, they provide links and instructions.

I'd like to be able to offer you some magical advice to get it working like mine, but i am not totally sure what i did to get it working right.
What i had been doing is playing one res setting down from maximum and that just fixed the hud, but not the other problems.
i just put up with the bright lights though, thats still a real bummer.
to get it working at full res today i switched my monitors around and redid all my eyefinity settings from scratch.
God I hate Mortar!! I really wanted some good games of Rush this evening but there seems to be a Mortar blanket all around the base so no way of strategically attacking a base...
Think I need to go back to basics with this game again as I have over complicated all my setups and not doing to well of lately.

I take great pleasure in counter-mortaring those muppets. It's the only time I use the damn thing.
Just started to play a little MW3 to have a break from BF3 for a bit, it's actually funny how little the game has changed. IW know exactly how to make mission intros, straight from the off I actually wanted to get involved and start kicking ass. Then you actually get into the mission.. You could blink, be switching to MW2 or 1 and never tell the difference. Swathe after swathe after swathe of enemies all coming down a narrow street all dropping with 2 bullets. Awful, awful, awful. Annoyingly I just cannot let a story die mid way through so I'm playing it through till the end then putting it in the bin.

Can I just ask what exactly constitutes a 'recon noob'?
I agree if they're offering nothing whatsover to the teamplay by barely moving and getting few kills, but the same could be said for players of any other class who rush back to the same firefight area while completely ignoring objectives around them.
Starting to wind me up with the now cool-to-say generalisation that anyone who equips a sniper rifle must be an imbecile and offers nothing to the team.
cant even stay on a server for more than 2 seconds lol by the looking at the forums loads of people are having the same problems
