The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

Man I am loving the Stormcloak rebellion quests! so awesome, I finally feel like I'm playing a medieval plot worthy game. Haven't had enough plot with any quests apart from the main storyline and Stormcloaks. I recommend joining them!

Sad to see so many people resorting to modding the carry weight. I'm a mage, have 452 carry weight and didn't need to change it in the console, yeah it took some doing but that's the fun of the game... If you are clever about what you pick up then there is no need to have massive bags.

I just did Azura's star quest and went with the Black Star.

I decided to record it expecting a battle as epic as Morokai .... but it was easy peasy :(

*Dont watch if you dont want it spoiled*

/turns difficulty up, Fireball just broke the game and made everything too easy.

You missed out on a good opportunity to get some daedric heats!

Making more progress into the game though I agree with the sentiments earlier on, lots of random quests popping up which are great for gaining XP but tend to be a bit of a distraction. Most amount to go to cave/camp, slaughter bandits + leader, scavenge location and return to collect reward.

Now I don't know whether it's me, but playing on medium difficulty finding it very easy to get scragged during combat. I've got a companion to assist but I find the close quarters stuff dreadfully unbalanced as you get rushed by three or four bandits at once. Guess I need to up my archery skills or the magicka range but, to me, it's almost like they took the combat engine from Fallout 3/NV but minus the VATS which kind of balanced things against multiple opponents.

Hopefully there will be a hidden plasma rifle and ammo somewhere... :D

Re the opening cutscene, yes the beheading scene appealed to my sense of the macabre, could almost have been on the set of Merlin or Game of Thrones!

I can't see that as a negative at all tbh, you don't have to do them. Plus i don't get distracted from the main quest at all, it doesn't really make sense that the PC would be bothered with all of the little quests when he has something pretty important to do, thats why i save most of the side quests until i have done the main, or at least there is a suitable break in the story.

Yeah, i occasionally find myself being killed very easily when i am mobbed by multiple enemies, hopefully the first patch might have some kind of balance because on numerous occasions i have been finding it very easy only to suddenly come across something that kills me in 2 hits.

I think this too... My carry weight is in the 300's, and I feel like modding it would be cheating in some way... Sure it would save me the hour I spent trecking backwards and forwards from a Dwarven ruin yesterday because I wanted all the gold, but on the most part I get by by simply not picking up the bad stuff.... If there's loads of good stuff, well I leave the dungeon and come back...

im hoping to double enchant each armor piece of mine with + dmg (i use a bow) and + weight, just building up my enchant skill atm. no idea if i can or not though. got both enchants, just need to get to 100 enchant and get the skill tree up for it too.

lvl 32 and loving the game. :)

the thing i like most is just running through the forest finding things randomly, instead of looking @ the map. that and it looks great. :D

Just started getting stuck in to the main quest (Damn sidequests :p) and enjoying it so far.. Also love capturing souls with my axe (gotta love enchantments).. Kill them within 4 seconds to get a soul.. easy! haha

Haha yeah, I have a dwarf mace at the moment with soul capture. As soon as I can make a better weapon I'll just unenchant it so I have the enchantment available xD

looking for advice on changing your party. I have lydia with me who wh is ok, I now have the opportunity to change her for Illia. Illian is a wich but is she any better? If i decide at a later date can I go back and find her?

Changing carry weight is cheating IMO

Thats a major part of the game...The fun is working out what you drop, pick up and leave behind.

Exactly, although I probably spend a little too much time working out what items have the best price/weight ratio!

Also, Cicero must have the most annoying voice out of any character in the game (I'm sure those who have had the misfortune of meeting him will agree).
