What film did you watch last night?

Bridesmaids - I was cheated into watching this by other people telling me it was good. Even for a chick flick it was poor. It would be a bit unfair to rate it as I only watched 20 minutes (well it felt that long anyway) of it before I switched it off. If people tell you to watch it, even though it isn't the sort of film you normally watch...... don't! :D

Mind you it's a comedy and they can be very hit or miss.

I can't believe it even made it to the cinema, should've went straight to DVD. Terrible film.

Rise of the planet of the apes.

A very good 8/10

Earlier in the thread someone said something along the lines of half the movie is good the other half isnt and that was down to the half containing the humans, i have to disagree, the interaction between human and ape was very well scripted, good portrayal of emotion and returned superbly no thanks to Andy serkis none the less.
The film is a little deeper than A. you expect form a reboot and B. the films pre watch hype would have you believe. Very enjoyable indeed and looking foreword to the sequel.

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt 2, after two weeks of watching harry potter

And how do you rate? please let other people know so they have some idea weather it is worth watching. At least a score out of 10

The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc Sec, a weird Indiana Jones/Amelie feeling to it, great fun with superb cinematography, 9.5/10 :D

Roman Holiday. Always nice to find a romantic comedy that is both romantic and comedic... Not as good as Breakfast at Tiffany's, but what is. The two leads were great. Some of the editing felt quite harsh - there were some very rough cuts, but maybe that's just how it was in the 50s. The ending reminded me a lot of Lost In Translation. And of course it bears repeating that Audrey Hepburn is staggeringly attractive.

That was me but I don't think it came across well, where there's apes (and Humans with apes) the film is good but when it'd just humans alone it feels like it drags to me.

see i think the cold disengaged calculative part portrayed by humans alone was a deliberate part of the movie, the parts with James franco were the scenes that were supposed to portray any kind of emotion and those were pretty much solely with apes. all others were there to emphasize the hatred shown towards the apes and therefore perpetuate the rebellion. the only issue i have is not enough was explained or divulged about the contagion part of the virus

watch the film again with this in mind and i challenge you to not finish with a different perspective of the movie

Home Alone - 9/10
A Xmas Classic :) It was on E4 I believe it was

Home Alone 2 - 8/10
Another Xmas Classic although not quite as good as the first one

Richie Rich - 6/10
Rather dull but had a few good moments

Hall Pass - watchable Farrelly Brothers comedy, some funny moments but overall pretty forgettable. Stephen Merchant is always watchable but seemed a little too shoehorned in. 3/5

Isolation 7/10

For a low budget Irish horror film, I was very impressed with the style of filming and its low budget-ness lent itself well to the run down surroundings of the film.

A few nods to the great and the good of horror but again more than allowable. If ever there was a film to show the US film industry that CGI isn't a "must have" for good horror then Isolation would do just fine.

The Hangover 2 - meh, just watch the 1st.

As good as it gets - Got this because I love Jack Nicholoson. Quite boring film and not that funny. 6/10

Captain America - Just... lol. Do not watch this. Terribad film. Didn't even bother watching until the end.

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Pt 2 - Pretty good! Series has got better and better as it has gone along. 7/10.

Michael Jackson day on the TV yesterday then?

Over the weekend i watched Warrior

Enjoyed it thoroughly, and thought the fights were filmed in a way that was very sympathetic to the audience....the only downside was that the end was a weak as hell.

8/10

I loved the fact the film could have been a PG, but they decided to stick in the "bath" scene :D

Not sure I would give it a 9.5/10, but is a good film
