***** The Official Galaxy Nexus Thread *****

The screen is good but it's not amazing. There's a slight blemish on mine, and I get a bit of ghosting (but only on the Market it seems). Other than that, it's fine. I get the graininess, but I'm fairly sure I used to get that on the iPhone 4 at low light levels too.

Good to see I'm not the only one seeing these issues. Fortunately I see no blemishes on mine, but ghosting and graininess are definitely apparent.

That's just the pentile matrix I believe. It may also look a bit of a funny colour when off-angle but that doesn't really matter either.

It sold within 3hrs because it's too cheap. Could've got £300 for it.

I didn't realise flash wasnt working on ICS, and a whole number of other apps. Think i'll be upgrading in 6+ months when it's had time to mature.

dude let it go, i sold it because i did not need or want it, what's £25?

To the people talking about graininess/screen issues, do you have auto brightness on?

If so, try taking it off and setting the brightness yourself.

I feel this made a huge difference to my screen.

Oh, the auto-brightness is terrible, it's too low for what I would like so I just usually use the incremental option.

Nevertheless, even on full brightness there's slightly still grain on the powerbar (as an example). I'm really straining my eyes to see it but it's still there. Lower brightness makes it even more apparent.

There's a button for it on the widget with the wi-fi/gps settings etc.

It looks like a little sun.

Failing that, go to Settings>Display>Brightness and set it there.

We're talking about when you lock the phone you get the CRT animation, not auto brightness :)

Google music is installed and if you have an account it will sync in the UK.

All you need is to use a proxy sever/VPN to sign upon your computer then it will upload and download in the UK fine.

Where did you get the apk from?

I'm a bit sceptical about doing it through the VPN method as I don't want any complications when it does come live in the UK. Can you see this being the case, or does it work perfectly for you? I've not had a play about with it yet but I'm very interested in getting it working on my phone / pc asap.

It is already on the phone! It's just the music app.

It works perfectly. It uploads any music on my mac and I can download it/stream it anywhere although I'd definitely suggest downloading the music your most likely to listen to at home on wifi connected to the charger unless you want to kill the battery - that is true of any phone not just the Nexus.

Excellent. Will be trying this out when I get home. Did you use hotspot shield?

I just phoned three to confirm delivery, and they said its already packaged ready to be picked up by Royal Mail later today, and I will get a delivery confirmation e mail in the evening.

GIMMEH NAOW!!! :(

Oh and as I said in the Lumia 800 thread, T Mobile just offered me a free Lumia 800 on any £35 pm tariff with a 50% line rental discount ... possibly including keeping my current Flext 35 tariff and dropping the WnW max.

..... I cant resist that! .... but £57.50 pm for both :(
