**The Official Nokia Lumia 800 Thread***

I just got offered,

600 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited internet (500mb)
Picture Message - 30pm
Phone - £87
24 Month - £20.54

any good? works out about £580 over 24 months, or are there any better deals out there?

I'd have to rely on T Mobile getting it in by 1st of feb though .... from what I've learned over the last several years is that they are terrible at getting new handsets in stock (The Lumia 800 is the only latest phone they seem to offer - No galaxy nexus, nothing good from SE, and HTC sensation / Lumia 800 are the only high end options apart from the iPhones).

The only thing good about T Mobile is the epic 50% discounts, everything else is bad (with 3 now being so much better for data).

I dont want to be paying for anymore months than I need though, so the longer I delay an upgrade, the more I end up paying.

Not really, you carry on paying what you currently are.

Which is too much on top of the One Plan :p

ATM I pay £29.35 pm for Flext 35 + WnW max (10 Gb internet).

I need to take the internet off and pay just £17.50 pm, and I get upgrades every 18 months at £35 tariff values I think? Yay :D

Or maybe not, its likely only this upgrade thats cheap since I've been paying £30 pm for the last 6 years.

The rainforest company ( supplied throu another market thingy), has the black sim free at £408.

Thinking Expansys might be a huge rip off site.

So what's the camera like on this?

Thi is mainly the deciding factor in which phone I want but many people say the S2 has the better camera, can't seem to find many video's on the Lumia 800 or sample pictures.

Still want the blue one though lol.

T mob told me they have it in both Black and Blue :)

I'm thinking of cancelling / returning my Galaxy Nexus within 14 days if it has any problems, but otherwise I can just sell either handset and make back more than the cost of what T mobile are offering me.

I haven't had a good enough play around with the camera. It doesn't seem as good as the IP4 or S2, but is a whole load better than my HTC Desire. It's between average and good I think, closer to good.

Could you upload a few pictures when you have a spare minute please mate?

I have always had respect for Nokia for concentrating on their camera phones as it's always been a feature I value the most in a phone, I would've gone for the N8 if it wasn't Symbian.

Capture speed is what really tempting me on the Lumia, I often miss shots on phones due to the amount of time it takes to focus, flash, capture etc.

Though I don't like blurry pictures, and the lumia is meant to have great image stabilisation.

The focus time and results given its meant to be a decent (for a phone) lens is not that great. My S2 focuses faster and from the few pictures I took gave a better quality than the 800

Well I made two phone calls today asking as many questions I could possibly think of to try and squeeze out as much information and a stonking upgrade offer out of them. Here is a summary of my phone calls:

- = me, * = T mob

- Hi, I'd like to enquire about cancelling or upgrading my contract on the 1st feb. I dont need it anymore as I am getting a Galaxy Nexus on 3's One Plan, but I would be interested in keeping it if I can get a good offer on the Lumia 800 with my 50% discount. Also could you let me know what colours you sell the Lumia 800 in, as it is available in several different ones.

*We only have the Lumia 800 available in both blue and black. Are you ok with holding while I trasfer you to the upgrades and renewals team?

- Yes thanks, I can hold.

***ring ring, ring ring, ring ring***

*Hello, how can I help?

- Hi, I am wanting to enquire about my upcoming renewal. I was planning on cancelling my contract as I am moving onto 3's one plan and dont need this one anymore, but I am considering keeping it if I can get a Nokia Lumia 800 on a decent offer. Is it possible to get a quote on how much this upgrade would cost me?

* Unfortuntately we cannot tell you how much it would cost as prices would be different by your renewal date than they currently are

- Ok, I know that I cant upgrade until Feb 1st, but if I was able to upgrade today, how much would the Lumia 800 cost?

* Oh, it would be a free upgrade on your current contract, and you also get to keep your 50% reduction for life

- Thats great, but the thing is I dont need the data anymore, and wanted to change to just Flext 35 and keep my discount, is this possible?

* We cant confirm that you will be able to do that as changing to just Flext 35 may no longer be an option when you renew, however you can change to any current £35 pm tariff and keep your discount.

- #GLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE# So basically I can upgrade to a free Nokia Lumia 800, change to any £35 pm contract, and keep my 50% discount?

* Yes you can do that, but bear in mind that our handset offers will be different in February

- But if the Lumia 800 would be free today, it would still be free in February surely?

* Yes, the price would likely have gone down by then

- WEBNOTE ON MY ACCOUNT PLOX ¬ FREE NOKIA LUMIA 800, £35 PM TARIFF, 50% DISCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Yes theres already a note on here saying you asked about the Lumia 800 and it will be a free upgrade for you.

- HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY, HAPPY HAPPY JOY :D
