Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I don't see how the new maps will be any better IF they need to include them as DLC for Survival. You couldn't play survival on most of the MW2 maps because it would be far too easy even with 2 players.

For instance Highrise, you could just both hide in the middle slope section and sentry each end while covering a door each. Same for terminal etc. For survival they needed to up the entry points to make it a challenge and in doing do destroyed the MP maps.

Survival has to go or be on totally different maps.

I actually really enjoy MW3, it's the best PC version since 4 IMO, well it was until the Stealth Bomber exploit went viral, now every game I join at least one person is using it. Ground War and Domination are basically unplayable right now.

The spawn points are also really bad ATM, people literally spawn in front of me, facing me, after I've just killed them. And obviously this works the other way also, so many times people have spawned 2ft behind me. The nature of the maps certainly doesn't help, but I'm sure they can make some improvements, albeit small ones.

I don't see the problem with the multiple entry points on the maps, surely you just need to adapt your play style to the new maps.

Yes it's frustrating when you do not know the maps, but surely you know which areas to avoid after you have played them a few times, and likewise which areas you need to look in when moving around.

Edit: What Stealth Bomber exploit?

Because it makes the spawning extremely hard to control and not get shot. Playing domo and getting from flag to flag is damn hard when there are 8 angles you can be shot from most of the time. More often than not there is people from atleast 2 directions shooting me at once. One from the back and one from the side.

I can look at my MW2 accolades and see how many matches I played where I got the 'don't get shot in the back accolade' literally hundreds. I wouldn't even have earnt it on this. I'm a player that goes for captures and I expect to die more often doing that. Not this open.

The only way to adapt your style is to camp and wait for people to run past, which is why we have so many games on that african favela type map where the other team sit's at A picking off anyone who comes down the slopes.

Playing the SP on veteran is nigh on impossible, who was it that said it was going to be easier than MW2? It bloody well isn't!!! :p

That could be the key, I haven't played many objective based modes on MW3, I loved HQ on Black Ops, but not this, and the only other objective mode I have played is Kill Confirmed.

I have mainly been playing TDM, so maybe I haven't been experienceing the same issues as people who play objective game modes.

Possibly tweak an existing map similar Blops did for Wager, corriders and runs partitioned off?

Ill need to play survivor more but so far it seems the AI and there spawn points seem to mean you only have 2 or 3 routes used to your 'base' anyway.

Oh well though, it'll do until Treyarch releases an awesome CoD next year. :p

I just hope they carry on doing their own thing and don't feel the need to draw inspiration from MW3. They did an amazing job with World at War and Black Ops, so let's hope they stick with their own ideas. Sledgehammer have really fudged this up.

I'm not one of these people who will say something is easy just to make myself look good at the game, but seriously the Veteran difficulty in this game is the easiest I've played. World at War was by far the hardest for me personally, Black Ops was tricky in places and to top it off I didn't even get the Black Ops Master trophy for doing it! Goddamn thing glitched and I had to go back and finish three of the levels on Veteran despite already doing them once. Needless to say I couldn't be arsed so I never bothered. MW was pretty simple and MW2 was fairly easy, apart from that goddamn boat ride near the end, and the assault on the Gulag. Pure rage.

I hope to god we don't start to now see Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare 4, Black Ops 3, Modern Warfare 5 etc each alternate year.

That would suck ass!

Must say ive been playing this game solid for 5 days and on prestige 3. I am finding with these maps you cannot protect you self in buildings as so many ways to enter , even using a claymore or bouncing betty does not protect you .

MW3 has the easiest Veteran out of the COD games by far, felt like they didn't even bother play testing it.

If you find it hard you should try World At War on Veteran, you'll be pulling your hair out with all the grenade spam and bull**** deaths you'll incur. :p

Skidrow, A domination, upstairs :D 1 staircase to funnel the enemies and you're protected from Airsupport :p Because of this gametype I have no hope of them ever bringing across my favourite maps from MW2 :(

There is just so much they've screwed up for me in this game...

-Snipers are pretty much useless on these maps because of how cramped it is.
-LMG's are pretty much the same story but they also went one further and gave them a damage drop off, which they never had in the past and there was no need for it.
-Scavenger got nerf'd to hell and beyond, which again all it needed was to not supply tubes, but now it supplies **** all except ammo and throwing knives making it one of the worst perks in the game.
-The support killstreaks were a mistake because all you have now is infinite UAV spam so it pretty much forces you to use assassin constantly (easy enough saying shoot it down, but when there's 6 people on a team using UAV, it's pretty much constant coverage).
-Sitrep Pro was supposed to cancel out Dead silence, but again it doesn't and I would like to know why, but anytime I ask a question to the developers about it I just get ignored so they can answer questions that already have been answered 100's of times.

If I'm honest I'd rather people be throwing up Harriers, Pavelows etc because atleast they only get 1 per game on average (unless they're camping super hard) and shooting down a harrier is 10x easier then looking for and shooting down a UAV.

The spawn point changes depending on where you set up, regardless of where you set up one of the juggernaughts always comes down right near you. That's why in lots of the guides people don't bother setting up a base like I did with Wyrdo, they just continually circle the map around the outside. Venture to the middle and they spawn all around you.

We used to set up camp and then move away from the sentries in the jugg waves, to make sure they were not too close to our sentries when they spawned in :)

I agree though they could change the maps so they have a different version for Survival to MP. The trouble is there are now 16 sucky maps regardless of how good the new ones are 50%+ of the time even after all the DLC is out you will have to suffer one of the awful maps.

Old school scavenger would have made the Specialist class a bit too one man army. It feels pretty much like that with just guns.
